Ever have one of these nights?
Another Monday disaster for me. I don't know why I even bother -- I need to start taking Mondays off altogether.

    Lost:

Red Sox (blew lead in 8th)
    Twins (blew lead in 9th)
Thunder -3.5 (we all know what happened there)
    Thunder ML (" ")
    Thunder/Mavs under 2H (" ")

Overall, it amounted to a 21U swing for me (potentially up 10U if all bets hit to down 11U).

        Ive been doing well.

Start picking with confidence. Makes a world of difference.

        Question yourself and you're toast.

I know its easy to say but figure that one out and you're good.

Well that was three of the five plays, and 85% of my losses.

I was extremely confident in the Thunder play. Didn't question it for a second.

Phillies took my money AGAIN. I have to go and look dating back to last year but I've got to be like 4 for 30 when betting any game they take part in, for or against, game over/unders, team totals anything

It's bad enough to let Dirk completely take over the game, but what's being overlooked is the absolute choke job by OKC offensively.

The last 5 minutes of regulation and overtime were nothing short of an abortion when they had the ball. How did this same team win Game 2 in Dallas?

Unfortunately just one of those bitter defeats that will inevitably occur once in a while... dont dwell on it too much.

The key is to not let it effect any more future decisions. Bounce back.

Problem is it had a domino effect on the 2H under, which really left a mark (and a dent in my bankroll).

I always have a tendency to chase in times like this. More often than not it doesnt work, although Ive pulled off some pretty amazing comebacks, as we all have, and sure thats always possible as well.

As far as Im concerned, placing a big bet tomorrow is a solid tactic because you need to recover your bankroll. So just cap, think, picture the game playing out in your mind.. LITERALLY TRY TO PICTURE THE GAME UNFOLDING IN YOUR HEAD

and throw down some big units on one straight bet that you picture unfolding as not even a tight ballgame but an easy winner.

And bam you're back in business.

I gotta tell you, Im takin a long look at this SF/FLO under

I did that with OKC, and for 44 minutes, it went exactly as I envisioned.

Then Dirk came along like this....

Yes, this is from the guy whose addiction to gambling has ruined his life. It is a answer laced with all the afflictions of a diseased mind.

I think what he is trying to say is that the spur of the moment chase bet you can put in after a bad beat is more -EV than a chase bet you put in the next day after a day of capping it. That is probably a fair comment, but neither are particularly profitable....

I've had a bunch of similar nights since baseball started. First 2 weeks were gravy and been miserable since.
