It happens to every book unfortunately. I have seen it for a decade now. Crooks will be crooks. It's no one's fault in all likelihood. It sucks but that is why most player's have a couple or more books. Be patient.
I just got into the main page.Who knows how long this will last
cross fingers! pinny is just teasing us cross fingers..

I'm not familiar enough to know if it is helpful, but this message appeared moments ago, when I checked if Pinnacle was operational.

It is clear that Pinnacle IT department is no match for this attack... it has been almost 2 days now.
I am starting to feel that they will either need to give into the demands of these jerks or run the possibility of being bankrupt due to loss of revenue.
Bankrupt would be bad because we would never see our bankolls again.

This is going to be a problem for pinnacle for a while. It just doesn't go away over night. I just read the article someone just posted on how this happened to BetCris several years ago and how they overcame it.

I don't think it's clear at all. If they were attacked, they will adapt and conquer. I seriously doubt they are going out of business. I am sure they will restore service as soon as humanly possible. Be patient. I have an account there also. I ain't worried in the slightest.

If you lose those bets, will you then wish it was down at the time of placing those bets so you would not have lost? lol

Apology and Explanation for Tuesday’s Website Problem
Paddy Power suffered a similar attack - their response below:
As many of our customers are aware, we had serious technical issues with our website on Tuesday 12 April. This meant that many of our customers had difficultly placing bets between 8am and midday and again from 5:30pm onwards. These problems come on the back of unrelated IT issues we experienced after the Grand National on Saturday. Following on from the problems we had on Saturday, our website has now had two outages in a short period of time. We are extremely conscious of the inconvenience that this has caused to our customers.
While the problems on Saturday were caused by the sheer volume of customers placing bets on our site, yesterday’s problems were caused by an entirely different issue:
We experienced a protracted and malicious attack on our systems with the sole objective to bring down our website and prevent our customers from placing bets. We have systems in place to defend our site against such attacks however these systems failed to protect us due to the sophistication of the attack.
All our resources have been dedicated to analysing the attack and we are in the process of upgrading our defences to stop it reoccurring.
We would like to stress that Paddy Power systems have not been “hacked” into. The attack is what is known as a “Distributed Denial of Service” (DDOS) attack and is designed to clog up our website. No customer data has been compromised and our systems, while at times were unavailable, were at all times secure.
We wish to thank everyone for their patience and completely understand customers’ frustration at not being able to access their account or place bets. We, like you, know that this is completely unacceptable and we apologise to all our customers.

Short term thinking has no place in healthy betting.

so far so good, although I did place my two champions league and stanley cup playoff wagers earlier than I would have wanted. I like to place my wagers closer to game time, but I would rather have wagers placed then no wagers.

I would be SHOCKED if pinnacle made such a statement or ever apologized about anything for that matter. They think we are the ones who should be so lucky to be able to bet there and deal with whatever shit they dish out.

Amen. And hopefully you are right for the future as well. My perspective on what happened has changed on this the more I have read and learned about DDOS attacks and after reading about what BETCris went through via the article that was posted about their situation with an attack several years ago.
As frustrating as this may have been for some of us, it is probably nothing compared to what they have gone through.

I remember it well. It also happened at nine.com when I was working there. Frustrating but nothing but inconvenient for a time is all.

And the sad state of the universe is that they´re right, people who are allowed to bet there are lucky, with or without unscheduled interruptions. Just ask all of those less fortunate what they would give for that chance...
