If Harlem Rocker goes, 2/5, if not, probably 1/9. Bridge jumpers will be out in full force.

His hype is deserved. This is the best chance for a Triple Crown winner that I've witnessed and boy does the horse racing industry need this. Anything to put horse racing positively in the limelight is fine by me. Big Brown has yet to be challenged..
          Have to dissent.

I'd rather see horse racing put in a negative light, perhaps with some corrective legislation pending.

If so, it may encourage reform, which this protected industry desperately needs. (Note that UIGEA exempts racing from it's bet ban.)

It needs reform both in its drug policy, and its breeding practices. If the graphic, before millions, death of Eight Belles encourages that, she would at least given a postmorten boost to her breed.

In Europe, they refer to American racing as "the battle of the best illegal drugs." And breeding from fragile speedsters is also a greed-motivated crime.

Riders cheat in this country all the time, also.

Use of a joint during a race happens much more than the dedicated horseplayer thinks, as he buries his face in the Form thinking it gives him an advantage. Sp-called designer drugs are undetectable, and when they are finally detected the cheaters have come up with new ones.

It's a mugs game. In any country. Never bet on anything that talks. Or is ridden by same.
