#41Originally posted by crazylThis is true, especially through rough stretches. It's always enjoyable watching when you've had a great week or month, but when nothing seems to go your way all watching does is stress you out further.
There's no good emotion to come from watching, whether a thrill or a low, both are bad. I think the reality of it is, most of us watch because we have nothing else to do or choose to do nothing else because gambling is how we pass time.
the worst games to watch is when your team is up by 2 goals with 20 minutes left, and the opposite team scores 3 goals before FT. especially when it is 0-0 at HT. **** me.Comment -

#43AAO, you cannot quit gambling. Even though you are barrelled in, a true degenerate such as yourself must keep barrelling himself in further. Get your poker project going and make some extra cash.Comment -

#45i think recreational gamblers can never have good money management skill because the reason they gamble is for entertainment. money mangement pretty much takes out all the excitement from wagering.
same goes for poker. whenever i am bored out of my mind, i am winning money slowly. if i am having fun, then either i got a lucky win with the river or i am blowing my bankroll, which is never good for long term.Comment -

#53It's not hard to quit guys. Most of you guys are barreled in which is an unfortunate situation. I'm trying to step away from gambling for good. I'm only 19 so I think there is nothing better I can do then to walk away from it at my early age. Most of you guys are my motivation to quit. I don't want to end up like most of you on here. JJ, I'm glad I found out about you, it has helped me quit as well. After watching so many games, it is impossible to predict how a game will go. I've lost a few grand and I got in that mood of man "I HAVE to get that money back", and I went on to lose a little bit more. And I stepped back and realized that maybe the smartest thing to do is to just step back and give this whole thing up. The whole stress of betting and what comes with betting sports can ruin your life. I don't want to have to be stressed out and pissed off and who knows where I might end up if I get too deep into gambling like some of you. I want to give it up and hopefully I can do that.Comment -

yeah i'm sure you're a real card shark, unable to even gamble in a casino. poker variance will put you into the same hole sports betting does.Comment -
