I do not play in tournies online as they are too big and last too long and I do not have the pateince for those.

I have played in 6 live tournies and made the final table in 4 of them. 4 in Biloxi and 2 in Tunica.

I probably am ahead in poker but I got burned out on it. On line is bullshit and I dont care what anyone says.

I played 3 times a week in Biloxi in a 15/30 Omaha hi/lo game for 3 years. Games lasted anywhere from 8 to 24 hours long.
I made quads once and 1 straight flush in 3 years.

Online I have made quads 3 or 4 times with a straight flush in a span of 10 minutes like on 5 or 6 occasions.

the poker online is too funky !!!

money mangement pretty much takes out all the excitement from wagering.
Not if you bet Kelly. The swings you get betting Kelly can be a bit hard to take. That said, the Kelly stake for most here is 0.

No. Once you get going it's a psychological thing that you can't escape. There is nothing in the world that compares to having action on a game for most of us. It does not matter how much you bet as long as you bet. And you don't care if you win, you just want to keep betting and betting and betting. Most guys here would pass up sex to bet. Fortunately for most guys they don't have to make that choice very often.

Just about everyone on here suffers from the same gambling addiction. Some guys are at more advanced stages of their addiction, but we're pretty much all in the same boat and need each other's company to get by. We'll be on here together 10 years from now sharing our sorrow about how our lives passed us by while we were busy getting ready for the Sunday night game. Nothing changes for us on here, it's the same thing everyday....we've all lost even if we've won some money in the process.

While I do somewhat like the theory behind advantage betting, if you gave me $15 million tomorrow I would never place a sports bet again.

I in the past few years when I was low with money in the winter would bet approx 75 games on Saturday in baskets for $1 just to feel the rush all day and night, I never one any money doing this but it kept me in action. Gambling is about the high/rush and not winning.
