No, I didn't do any part of my post secondary education at any sort of online school. Probably would've saved a tonne of cash if I had, now that I think about it.

#109All you guys saying "excessive force" I hope you don't raise son's.
The kid was physically being attacked, was completely trying to stay from being involved, and then put an end to the threat. Excessive force?! You're all soft.
That little kids parents should be happy their punk son learned this lesson now, rather than having his ass handed to him as an adult.
Adults who claim excessive force are the exact reason little twerps like him turn out the way they do. He has probably been picking on bigger kids for years, because his small size has allowed him to. No one wants to be the Guy that beats up the shrimp.
Also, why so many guys in this thread feeling the need to make fun of the bigger kid? He defends himself (and in classy fashion too...he could've easily dropped that kid numerous times) and you dumbasses feel the need to make fun of him?
As for Rod...you're showing your countries true colors here pal. Of course you think the kid is dumb for defending himself. You come from a country full of soft, kicked dogs, who couldnt start or finish a fight.
This bigger kid should be applauded. We need to stop telling kids who get bullied to turn the other cheek. We should also tell bullies that You are on your way to be a loser as an adult.
And no...I wasn't picked on as a kid. I was just raised correctly by a man who made sure I knew to take shit from no one.Comment -

#117if the size differential was that lopsided i would not be picking up the guy and body slamming him on concrete. it was excessive and could have been deadly BUT it has to be taken into consideration that this is a little boy and after 3 years he just snapped . the big guy walking away immediately was admirable. i was surprised he did not do more especially since he had "snapped". i just hope this bully learns his lesson and gets rid of his aggression.
if indeed what shari says is true then i think that is the best decision. NOTHING should come of this except for a couple of one week suspensions.Comment -

#118The ankle breaking was just bad luck. If the ankle doesn't break, I would say the big kid didn't use enough force.
If you need to use force against someone who is bullying you, then you should be excessive, or else it wont stop.Comment -

#121i think a few punches in the face would have done the trick. you dont need to break his bones to make a point that i am not afraid of you or your bullying. if you teach your kids to beat a bully until his bones break then you are an idiot dude.Originally posted by WvGamblerThe ankle breaking was just bad luck. again he is just a little kid and snapped . should not be held responsible for anything. he had no intention of breaking this kid's ankle . he just probably used the only move he knew from WWE or some shit like thatComment -

#122Sure hitting the kid would've been better, but that big kid probably doesn't know how to properly defend himself. He doesn't seem at all aggressive, which makes this even more admirable.Originally posted by Wulfman14i think a few punches in the face would have done the trick. you dont need to break his bones to make a point that i am not afraid of you or your bullying. if you teach your kids to beat a bully until his bones break then you are an idiot dude.

#125This is from an article just published now:
Casey's father said yesterday his son had been the victim of bullying for several years and feared for his safety if he spoke about the fight.
"There'll be reprisals from other kids in the school and he still has to go to school somewhere," he said.
"He's not a violent kid, it's the first time he's lashed out and I don't want him to be victimised over that.
"He's always been taught never to hit. Apparently other people's parents don't teach their kids that."
Students said violence was a daily occurrence with fights often filmed and posted online.
"The fights I have seen here, it's horrible. It really makes me feel unsafe," one said.
A classmate added: "People pick on him every single day, they hit him around and stuff, and he just got sick of it and let out the anger."Comment -

#127Although there were so many parts of what I just posted that made me sad as well, I think the worst part is that Casey is scared of going back to school now because he fought back. How tortured must he have felt that he's still worried what those kids are going to do to him now?
He has no clue that over 10,000 people have joined a Facebook page in his honour, some Americans have started a college fund for him, his entire school population is gathering a petition to put an end to this type of bullying, etc...
I hope he finally goes online at some point and Googles his name. He has become the hero of many kids and adults who were victims of extreme bullying and may or may not have ever defended themselves.Comment -

#131I hope what happens is some of the "mature" kids or the sports "Jocks" take this poor kid under their wings and watch over him. I can actually see this happening. I bet there is one tough hombre waiting at his new school to welcome him with open arms and says "hey kid/mate, feel free to roam the halls and school yard freely cause I got your back."Originally posted by shari91Although there were so many parts of what I just posted that made me sad as well, I think the worst part is that Casey is scared of going back to school now because he fought back. Actually a few of the mothers I know from an online parenting forum who have kids at a private school in the area are trying to gather the money together so his parents can send him there. This school was apparently shithouse for dealing with bullying and violence. Last year a kid was bashed unconscious and it took more than 3 hours before his parents were even notified.
Hopefully he doesn't have to go back to that place. As for Ritchard, good luck to him when he goes back to school. I have a feeling he's going to finally experience how it feels to be the victim instead of the tormentor. There are a lot of people at his school who are seriously pissed off that they tried to set Casey up like this just to make themselves look like tough guys online. Apparently even the guys egging Ritchard on, the ones saying "he's laughing at ya, go for it" in the background and even the guy filming it are going to get a bit of a rough go of it as well.
It seems people really do like underdogs, although a part of me wishes these kids had stepped in ages ago and taken Casey under their wing before he ever had to defend himself like that.Comment -

#140I'm glad the big kid stuck up for himself. The little twerp got what he deserved.
I'll also say this. If the big kid was a victim of past bullying I'm glad he settled it this way instead of coming into school with a gun and blowing people away. Too many of these bullying instances end in gun violence b/c kids don't like to settle things with their fists.Comment
