Yankees tickets - where to buy them?
    Hey Guys,

I am visiting New York this week and I would like to go to Friday's game against the Mariners. Of course, I don't have tickets (it's all sold out) and I was wondering if there is a store/ticket exchange where scalpers put up their tickets for sale a day before the game.

If not, how much of a premium am I expected to pay if I buy from a scalper on game day?

    Comments appreciated,

    Thanks.

    Pedro

Buy and sell sports tickets, concert tickets, theater tickets and Broadway tickets on StubHub!

Thanks for the link Crayzee but I was looking for a place where I can pick it up in person.

I bought 'em on line at their MLB.com site, printed them out at my desk. Hard to beat that for convenience.

I ordered them through their site as well, but technically it is through Ticketmaster. They were delivered already, was a bitch finding decent seats everything was sold out. Got tickets for two games in May and June.

Yeah, tickemaster handles all of the stuff at the MLB.com site I guess. Always love the tack-on's when you buy through them, with the Yankees ticket coming with a $5.60 "convenience charge" plus another few dollars "shipping" to my e-mail address

At least it wasn't hard to find a decent seat for the May 8 afternoon game I'm going to next week.

Unless there is a sudden increase in demand (say an unexpected game becoming a marque game) ticket prices are typically going to cheaper right before the event then in advance...

I agree in the sense I hate flying into some locale without a ticket already in hand. The extra $10 I spent on-line to buy the seat is well worth it to me to have something going into the park on a weekday afternoon.

Yea but those guys at the gate can be the shadiest people in the world...Everytime I think about it, I always think about the final scene from "Fever Pitch" where she buys the tickets outside the gate and then tried to buy a ticket back from her...scalpers can be cockboys.
