#634Dude in Europe we can play in pinnacle but these bastards from European Union and governments of countries are thinking to bring in license for online gambling. Online sportsbook site will be blocked until they will make payment for government and get license. These bastards are starting to censor internet and making life harder with many prohibitions. George Orwell's "animal farm" is f.uk.ing reality and Big Brother is everywheresorry for my english

#635The guys that are hurt in this are the smaller books and locals who used MB as a risk shock absorber and the penny arb guys who would cut a penny or two from betting both sides of each game. Both groups play a part in the industry but neither is a critical component imo. MB's proverbial footprint in the sand will be washed away with little notice except for the two groups I mentioned.
SBR does many good things for players and I am grateful for their existence (though I don’t post that often). Matchbook was their one flaw. They couldn’t be objective about them.

#637I thought that about Pinnacle when they left, thought wrong. The sports gaming market is extremely resilient.

#640"internal volume" ?

I had no trouble getting matched with my one NBA bet today at 4c above what Pinnacle was offering
So far things don't appear any different to meComment -

#641i dont get it. today was the busiest i have ever seen matchy since 2008..
there was 26,000 each side to bet on all night.. at tight lines too.. 1-2 cent lines all night..
here is one example. not the best one, but it's one example.

#642There is no reason for volume to pick up dramatically right after losing a bunch of customers unless the new owners are attempting to make it look liquid.Comment -

There were indeed some good size offers for earlier nba games and I saw big blocks of shares changed hands in Dallas/Phi game. There is a market maker seeding the market using 5000 on each side, the one on Phi +2 was taken several times. So that's all fake volume? Please share some lights on this. Trying to look closely , to see if those big money finds a way to bet on matchbook again, just like they did in pinnacle's case.Comment -

Why does the most low juice books leave US?
Is the government behind this? They are killing american bettors who bet for profit, couse they will be left with the -110 lines which sux.Comment -

Looks like the new owner is acting as market maker himself, seeding the market, $5000 on each side on NBA. But other than that, I did see some other nice blocks of shares on each side. Maybe those big credit players quickly find a way to play at matchbook again?Comment -

#646They are seeding the market(especially for NBA games). If you look at NBA futures, the volume is zero. If you look at 1st half wagers, nothing much is there. College hoops is minimal as well currently. In game is dead too.Comment -

#648If I was playing at matchbook right now I would be very concerned with the massive instant liquidity on both sides they apparently found after losing probably 80% of their clients, seems very fishy, it would appear the "new owners" are seeding 20k+ on both sides of 1-3 cent linesComment -

#651NCAAB market is dead. Less then 100 bucks on each side.
The new owners are not seeding the NCAAB market, just then NBA market.
I offer a $3 bet on Wyoming +11.5 for +100 somebody please accept it, it's better then Pinnacle-s offer! This market is getting so empty with just a few buck on each side.Comment -

#652I don't need to pretend. I am and am quite satisfied with what I was able to achieve there today.
I really don't care who's putting up offers as long as I can get prices several cents in advance of what Pinnacle is offering.
I didn't accept someone else's offer today. I put up my own and got matched.
So at this stage it is continuation of business as usual.
So what's the point of those not playing there posting all this negative stuff about MB?Comment -

#662You can get a bank account in many parts of the world. Countries that will open one with no questions include Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Antigua, etc. Europe is a pain in the ass. I tried to open one in London and they wanted employment papers and visas.Comment -
