    worst baseball stadiums
Living here in Atlanta I go to alot of games and actually like turner field. I went to a marlins game the other day to see my mets and i have decided that Joe Robby, Dolphin Stadium or whatever the chuck its called now is horrible. The orange seats wanted to make me puke. The only decent thing was i park right next to the stadium, No joke there was not even anyone directing traffic, you just pulled into a grassy area and parked. The only other good thing since there was only 3 fans there that it was easy to get a foul ball. Ok so what stadiums is the worse for watching a baseball game. No saying Shea stadium, I started this thread and am a mets fan and repeat we will not ever insult shea no matter what a dump it is

I don't think there are any dumps any longer. The vast majority of the teams play in stadiums 15 years old and younger. Shea and Yankee are worn out and being replaced, which is why I'll be in New York in a couple of weeks to bid both stadiums a farewell. Tiger Stadium was worn out when it was closed, but they just quit sinking money into upkeep, yet Tiger Std remains my all-time favorite. Candlestick was a horrible overall experience and also wearing out by the time I went.

MLB parks I've been to that have opened since '93 are in Baltimore, Houston, Arlington, Denver and Pittsburgh and I like all of them with the Rangers' park fifth.

Dolphins Stadium in Miami is by far the worst stadium.

But keep in mind, it's not a baseball stadium. It's a football stadium. All the sight lines are made for football.

It always looks MORE empty than it actually is because Dolphins Stadium seats about 70K. If the Phillies played in a stadium that seated 70K, the place would look empty also.

The new stadium (retractable roof and seating approximately 35K) opens in 2011 for the Miami Marlins.

Any indoor stadium sucks IMHO. I've been to the Rogers Center (Toronto) and seen a few Blue Jays games. When the dome is open it makes for a great experience. When it's closed it duller than dishwater. Baseball is the one game that should always be played outdoors. I hate watching baseball indoors.

yeah saw a game in toronto with roof open. Other then the hellish ticket prices and my damn debit card not working at the atms it was a great experience.

I remember when the Giants & 49ers played on the same field. That was pretty bad.

The worst I've been to. Not only indoor but always empty it seems. Also got rafters that are live when hit by batters and it happens more often then you think. On field product is nothing to write home about either.

                          McIrish,
you are so right about the product on the field. Although i went to a game last weekend against chicago and definitely saw some bright spots with them. BJ Upton, I think is the real deal at the plate

Do you remember the days of the Lightning at the Trop?

Rogers Centre would be okay if it wasnt for that stupid roof, the ghayass turf and clippity clap crowd that sits on the first base side.

Montreal stadium was the worst one i've ever been to. Metal seats, so everyone would knock the seats up and down to make noise lmao.

The Stadium is fine. Only reason they're knocking it down is to get more luxury boxes.

Wrigley field is a dump. No parking, no tailgating and you piss in a troff instead of a unrinal.

I've been to 12 or 13 different parks and would call Yankee Stadium the worst. I've only ever been able to get tickets in the upper level, where the concourses are about 8 feet wide. While trying to get to my seat the last time we had a traffic jam in the concourse where everyone had to squeeze by, and it turned out a worker had a beer keg on a dolly blocking part of the aisle. One beer keg shouldn't be enough to block a concourse! Plus, in no other park have I sat very close to home plate and been unable to see a decent chunk of the left field line because of the way the park curves. I missed 4 fly outs and 2 hits down the line because of the park curvature. I'm used to missing parts of the outfield when sitting in the outfield, but not when sitting behind home plate.

I've also never been to a park where they insisted on making sure my cell phone worked. My cell phone's battery is pretty lousy with holding a charge and I'm lucky that it hadn't died (as it often does) considering the last time I went I had to leave 4 hours before first pitch to get there on time, or else they'd have confiscated my phone before I could go in.
