I wonder how small that sample size is too? Realistically how many people make up that 70%? Can't be much at this time of the day. Check sportsinteraction before the game and see what it is, will be <70%.

Im pretty good picking hockey actually....been on it for a few years now. Here is my breakdown of this...Chicago coming off an emotional shootout game last afternoon(3-2W) over pitt.... St'Louis had a few days off at home will come out strong from the gate and might catch chicago flatfooted in the first...But dont expect the hawks to struggle for long. The blues blew out the worthless anaheim in the last game, but that proves absolutely nothing, perhaps only that ducks are this bad in goal and on defense...Hawks play better defence, but St.Louise is on a hotter roll...I see the Blues coming out leading 2-0, before hawks either pull close in the second or tying the score before the 3rd...this game can EASILY go 3-2 early in the third, and thats just too close to call for me. In any case, i'd much rather take St.Louis+1.5 for the game, or chicago +1.5...and if u like under, i would look at later game between Pittsburgh and Washington that looks like a better under then this game..........

Jaroslav Halak, who has a bruised hand, is not eligible to come off injured reserve until Tuesday. Conklin is 1-1 against the Blackhawks this season with a 4.08 goals-against average and an .840 save percentage, although much of that damage came in a 7-5 loss Nov. 30.
"Not ready to say, no," Blues coach Davis Payne said Sunday, when asked about today's starting goaltender.

another reason, i would much rather take chicago+1.5......i think this one is going over too.....but if u guys like under, take uinder in pitt/washington, thats a better bet, trust me

u want a better 3 teamer? Islanders(-115), over 5.5 (chi/st.Lou), under 5.5(pit/wash) u can throw a small par on that, other then that, dont put all your eggs on this st'lou/chi under, doesnt look good at all...IMO

I think the odds are pretty much right on, if anything the Over has value. Gotta remember the blues just traded two defensive players for two offensive players (mcclement and johnson for stewart and shattenkirk) and are trying to open up their offense... Not to mention back up goalie in Conklin, and no confirmation on Crawford in nets for chicago, may be Turco between pipes coming with back to back games...
