The East has a big edge on interior defense with Horford/Howard at C. The West has a huge edge on FT% (81% vs 75%) and a greater ability to spread the floor with their perimeter shooters. I don't believe that the Celtics players will mesh well with the rest of the East team. Howard & Lebron playing nice with Kevin Garnett for a meaningless game? please... Overall, I think there's a lot more ego on the Eastern team while the West is a combination of young players and older professionals that don't bring the drama onto the court. I like Carmelo and Westbrook in particular to be key for the West team, and for the West to pull out the win.Comment -

This is a joke. With all the drama surrounding him in the last couple of weeks, look at his point production over that span. He's averaging 4 ppg higher in his last 10 games than his season average (29ppg vs 24.9 on average). His coaching isn't relevant to his performance on the floor.Comment -

With a team getting points though, has it ever been close? I don't follow the all star game closely but it seems like it's usually a 10-15 point game at the end from what I remember. It seems like a moot point to take the west because they're getting points. But it is a game to bet on for fun, if anything.Comment -
