being from canada where we don't get much U.S coverage, i only recognize 3 of those names. but if i can pick one guy i'd like to punch that's not on the list, it'd be Joe Buck. man does that guy aggravate me.

I didn't put Buck on the list because I was thinking more of the in game reporters who interview players with stupid questions rather than play by play guys. There are probably more play by play the forum would rather punch than not. Jimmy Dykes, Mike Patrick, Len Elmore, Dick Vitale, Dan Shulman, Mike Tirico, Joe Theisman, etc.

Maybe when March Madness hits I'll do another in honor of Billy Packer who I've always envisioned strangling with a microphone cord.

I met Mike Lupica at a restaurant during the Super Bowl. He's literally about 5'2. Almost like a dwarf. Really nice guy, though.

Well here's a reason if you need one.....

I remember right after Arizona lost the NCAA title game to Duke in '01 he was interviewing Lute Olson outside the locker room, (and this was the season when Lute's wife died of cancer), now I'd never really liked Olson or Arizona, but Katz stands there and asks, I swear to God I'm not making this up, he stands there and asks Lute if he felt like he and the team let his dead wife down for losing the game.

Now how in the fukking hell can you possibly even be that much of a shithead to come up with that type of question? And then just spring it on a guy on national television when he's in the midst of one of the most gut-wrenching and emotionally fragile moments of his life?

The fact that Lute was capable of restraining himself from beating Katz to death right there on the spot has made me a fan of his ever since

Katz is just a goofier version of Jim Gray. I hate them both. I hate Lupica because he's more of a sniveling little shit, whereas Katz and Gray are just assholes with an incredibly over-inflated sense of their self-importance.

I swear I think Jim Gray must have polaroids of all the sports network CEO's gang raping baby seals or something, because there is no way that asshole should still be on television.
