Why does SBR have a chat room?

I can understand a live chat for dealing with site issues, but for posters to chit chat? Why? I'd think SBR would want all chat room stuff on the forum where numbers would be greatly increased (this is assuming the forum here is an active one).

I admit to not being a chat room person. I tend to multitask which is next to impossible in chat - it's too confining. Many years ago I did use them occasionally but my head was spinning from a dozen chatters chatting at the same time. I've went into this one once and nobody was in there, another time recently by mistake and was outta there in two shakes of a lamb's tail.

It is easier than posting, I am sure to maintain doesnt cost SBR much. They should use this more efficiently thought by maybe making a contest in the chat?

hate to sound like a broken record, but i've never had a pleasant experience there. some people were over at my place while i was in chat, away from my comp, and pics of gay porn start popping up, for all to see.

Always was hearing people talk about sbr chat. Didn't know what it was until a few nights ago. I discovered it by accident. Wen't in for like a minute noticed it's just a chatroom. I also wondered why they have a chatroom at the forum. Seems redundant.

Thread isn't a knock on the chatters - I understand why some members enjoy conversing in that fashion. It's about why SBR John would want a chat room when it takes away from the forum. Not going to catch covers this way.
