I saw a segment on ABC news last night that absolutely was mind boggling. It's a supreme status symbol in Delaware to have the lowest number on your license plate.100 years ago It used to determine who had the means to own a car at the beginning stages of car manufacturing. It doesn't have anything to do with that aspect anymore because the low plates can be sold to complete strangers.

In this time of economic meltdown there was a bingo hall full of people bidding on a low numbered plate. Some idiot from a family of idiots into buying low numbered plates paid 700 grand for the damn thing.Things are really bonkers in my humble opinion when this crap takes place.hehe!

Brent - I am right with you. I have lived in Delaware 9 years now and I can't believe that people spend money and time on such b.s. I think they should spend more time and energy on making sports betting legal here in the state.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. Why would it bother you so much Brent what someone in Delaware was spending their money on?

I remembered reading that awhile back and it came to my mind as soon as I saw this thread. All of a sudden $700k doesn't sound like all that much.
