no. no one cares about the sunshine millions. overhyped event for state breds results in shippers to both tracks. can't pick them. no one cares which state wins the most points. it's like those jockey challenge cards. or the claiming crown at canterbury. all that makes it unbettable. too confusing. no one really handicaps anyway. if they did you would end up with favorites most of the time. you would be suprised at the blind bettors out there or lucky number players.

The only reason too handicap is so you can beat the favorite when beatable, which is most of the time.

The jockey challenge cards indeed suck

I remember Chris McCarron winning one of those things years ago - the last race looked so fixed!

people want to bet favorites so they can cash tickets to keep playing. thats why they're favorites. people are convinced that someone knows more than they do and if the horse is favored he must be the best and they bet on them because 95% of players don't have a clue as to how to pick against the favorite. chalk mentality also applies in sports betting especially betting the over on totals. how many times i've heard people bet the over so they can win their bet by halftime.

Chris had a way of making races look fixed. He was that good.

why bother betting favs unless its a steamroller like SWITCH ;; most tepid favs lose;; so i try for the 4-1 to 8-1 crowd;; its tricky but those runners are best value;; jmo;;;gl
