I had a friend when I was younger whose father knew Harold Ballards nephew and we always got tickets to concerts at Maple Leaf Gardens on request. Gold seats.
Neil Young X11, Jethro Tull X6, Yes X5, Bob Marley X5. Did 20 hits of 'cid for Yes in the Round years ago.
      We never missed a concert.

Only the Dead I saw once, the others twice or more. My first concert Genesis in 1973 or 1974 would have been Foxtrot album.

I know that Rochester '77 show is a Dick's Picks. Maybe #32 or 33. Can probably get it on 'Dead.net.

I've got a copy of that Buffalo '79 show running around here somewhere. One of my all time favorites. Although I may have loaned it to my brother. Wicked Dark Star in the second set. Didn't play it for 3 years after that.

Hey Madcap. Somebody knows where I'm at, right on. I can tell from your words. I work with a lot of 20 year olds and they have no clue. They try to listen to me but they have no idea. Terappin Station means nothing to them. Nor does the 'cid I did years ago.

                        haha. I hear ya man.

Although I should confess I'm only 29. But I know where it's at. My old man went to Duke, saw a show at Cameron Indoor Stadium sometime in the '70's. Changed his world forever.

I am a huge blues fan and saw John Lee Hooker in a small club in MPLS....

Talked to him during break but was so drunk, cant remember what he said....

I do remember as we were leaving after the show...he was sitting in the corner
with a cute 20 something blonde......

John knew how to live.......RIP Boogie Chillen.....
