QUESTION - Did you know you'd be a gambler when you were growing up?

I started gambling when I was 8. We used to flip baseball cards. By the time I was 12 I would go to the gun club with my parents and play 5 card draw tourneys. They didn't pay cash winnings though. Winners got turkeys, hams, fruit baskets and shit like that.

I always knew I was going to be a gambler. I liked the stock market since I was about 8. And unfortunately I've gambled with the law, lol, and lost.

when I was 9 I was playing $2 football paraly cards with my dads bookie
When I was 10 I was playing cards for our paper route money
When I was 11 I was studying Jai-alai lineup, and tracking play money bets.

So I guess I always knew ...

Nope. I started out just as a really big boxing fan, and then I learned that you could actually bet on the fights using the internet, and I've been at it ever since.

My older brother used to ask me for picks when I was 12. He won money never gave me a dime from his winnings. Therefore 14 I was wagering online using my dad's name.

I dont like cards, casino games, anything like that. I like to play poker but not for big money & am no good at it. I have a shitty poker face. But I have always liked gambling on football. My dad always did & its just something I picked up as a kid.

When I was a kid I would always wonder why daddy really gave that much of a fuk who won whatever game he was watching on TV, then he taught me about football & gambling & Ive been hooked ever since.

thats funny you say that my pops taught me the ropes about gambling on games when i was like 10, funny think he is still pretty good at it and I suck

yes, when i realized a teen i wasn't going to be a star athlete. i wasn't going to get an upper echelon girl. lack of personality was going to get me a dead end job. etc. so i figured out if i could excel in gambling it didn't matter how you looked or how much personality you have gambling would be the equalizer. so i charted the 1972 baseball season by meticoulously recording pitchers past peformance lines on a daily basis and succeeded and became a legend in my area. 40 years later i am as clean as a whistle.

started playing golf at 13. you play golf and youll start gambling in no time. had to start betting against the books because i cant get a money game on the course anymore. ( problem with never losing money is people stop playing you )

Yes knew i was going to be gambler since i was about 10.Would play parlay sheets with money I earned cutting grassand shoveling snow.Then found a card game when I was about 15-16 and would play every weekend.All of our dads would gamble weekly and it would usually end up in a dice game,so it wasnt hardto find some action somewhere.

I use to shoot craps in technical drawing class. Actually got suspended for gambling in school, but it was bullshit, they never found the dice.

Knew when i was young and there was a problem when i kept going to the place in Legend of Zelda where you could gamble points.

The time is coming where i have to put it all out on the table and fight this problem. Some of us just can't control ourselves. It sucks, but it is either all of nothing for me. I'm not a rationale gambler.

I played marbles in 4th grade and got a rush from winning so I knew from the beginning that risk was where it's at.

My Dad used to go to the local club every Thursday night and play cards. He bought a miniature casino kit with a roulette wheel and other gambling paraphernalia in it.

Yea, my dad was started bookin when I was young. I played poker 3-4 times a week in high school, and as soon as I was 18 I started casino trips with friends. I'm still in college but I still love gambling.

i knew it freshman year of HS...i'd play dice with others for dollar bills at a time to go to the snack-bar and that first streak when I had a handfull of cash i knew this was the start
