Does anybody on here play video poker? I have a couple of ?'s...
I have these free play vouchers from my local casino and i can only use them on slot or video machines and i have to play through the value of the free play 1 time before i can cash out. So I've been looking around and apparently jacks or better video poker will give me the best expected return on the free play like 99.5% or something using proper play, so i want to play that but i never have before. I have like a cheat sheet that i printed off from a website telling me what to do with hands to maximize profit so I'm ok there but like how do i find out which VP machines are full pay? Are they all the same or do i have to look for something to make sure i get the best chance of maximum profit based on the payout setup of the VP machine? Thanks for your help.

All I can say is they have the same odds as regular slots, so take it how you want.

That's not what I've read, that's why i want to play video poker. I hate slot machines but it's free money so i might as well use the free play and cash out. Does it matter how much i bet per hand, like should i do max bet each hand to get through the free play rollover quicker or does it not matter?

There are optimal ways to play as well as picking what machines pay the best by I think the straight and three of a kind payouts.

I have had my share of free plays here in Vegas. Just bet the .25 cent denomination, 5 quarter bet. Play regular video poker. DO NOT play Duces Wild. Do not play less than max bet. I can't imagine any casino offering you a HUGE freeplay intially so no worries about any cheat sheet. STAY AWAY FROM VIDEO BLACKJACK!!!! That is my best advice.

Just go to the help or payout menu and look for the listed odds. If it's not a progressive machine it should be pretty straightforward what you are looking for. The best machines for Jacks or Better pay 9:1 for a full house and 6:1 for a flush. Not that common but they are around.

Is that what they mean when they refer to like "9/6 payout?"

So if i find a machine that pays "9/6" or 9/1 for full houses and 6/1 for flushes that is basically what I'm looking for and that is the best it gets? Someone told me to go to a jacks or better Video Poker machine that has "9/6 payouts" for the best chance in this casino, so I'm guessing this is what they meant right?

My bad, thought it was lower on the hand strength scale, I rarely play machines. Some decent info here though.
