Pick up some trendy threads and hit up a decent bar or two. By trendy threads, I don't mean what the 17 year old kids are wearing, but stuff middle aged men (I'm approaching that age) are wearing. Nothing wrong with open-collar button downs with a blazer, nice jeans and some nice shoes. I guess hitting the bars depends if you're married, too.

KLC, boring shouldn't be seen as a negative. I've found enough excitement in my middle-age routines to remain very happy. Instead of going out to bars like I did in my 20s, I stay home and make my own beer which is very enjoyable and rewarding. Instead of playing on multiple softball teams as I did in my 30s, we get neighbors (most of 'em in-laws) over for horseshoes, wiffle ball and the consumption of said homemade beer. If that's bland and boring, that's fine with me.

I have my NBA League Pass and NHL Center Ice packages, go to the YMCA with the kids, and take the occasional road trip with the guys from work to see baseball, basketball, or whatever. Just need to fill in some of the gaps.
