.... of course they got outplayed... the Pats didn't properly prepare for the game, they overlooked it. They were cocky. I never said the Pats weren't trying, but its pretty obvious they didn't take the Browns seriously, and the Browns punished them for it. Not taking away from the Browns, they whooped our asses, but if they were to play again next week, do you really think the Browns would win?

it is possible, but bears have won with smoke and mirrors. am always reluctant to put my money on jay cutler and mike martz. they've gotten some great officiating to give them 3 wins andi will give martz credit for pulling his head out of his ass and realizing his line sucks dog dick as pass blockers. mixing the run in keeps cutler from having to throw too often. when game falls on cutler's back you can kiss your money goodbye. kid has talent, but is this era's jeff george. a loser.

only concern backing pats here is a potential letdown spot. gotta think bill has them practicing crisp and do you really want to put your cash on lovie and martz vs. bill? that's the equivalent of siding with brock and lang vs. billy walters.

        good luck to you all.

I will be at this game rooting for the Bears, but I won't put a dime on the game. Bears can pull a horseshoe out of their ass every now and then.

Tom Brady is anything but sorry, and I am not a Brady or Patriots fan what so ever. IF the line was 3.5, I would take the Bears +3.5 without question. People still think Chicago is smoke and mirrors, but they're much better than the were earlier in the season.

Wait for the line to go to +4 before betting the Bears, unless the line goes in the wrong direction.

I believe this could be a tight 3 point game.

The Bears poor offensive line scares me.

How can anyone say they are too strong when they have the worst defense in the NFL?

Get tired of watching Pats games. Teams come out too conservative. Looks like 2007 again. You need to come out and attack this shit defense. Pats play a simplistic defense. Load up to stop run on first down, pressure in passing situations.

I have my doubts about the Bears against the Pats, but I do think it's a little early to call Cutler a loser. As you said Grits, the "kid has talent" and his 92.8 QB rating this year is pretty remarkable for a guy playing behind an offensive line as weak as the Bears'.

Cutler is just 27 years old and he is still learning. Most QBs don't hit their prime until around this age, and Cutler has the physical gifts to be top flight. If not for a couple of verifiable stinky games in October, Cutler's stats would be 2009-Favre-amazing and there might even be talk of his MVP candidacy.

And he still might be a loser. But we really can't make that judgement for a QB until we see how he performs in the playoffs. For the first time in his career, Cutler will have his chance this season. If he flames out, he might be a loser. But I wouldn't call him a loser if his team gets to the Super Bowl, and this Bears team has at least a reasonable shot of getting there.

They have the worst defense in the NFL? You must be kidding. They have played the Jets, the Chargers, the Colts, the Steelers, and the Ravens. No other teams have this kind of schedule. The Colts have 467 yards against the Pat's defense because P. Manning was trying his luck for long shot when the Colts were 17 points behind. The Pat's defense managed to intercept thrice. They gave up 425 yards to Steelers when both teams were going for long shot. The Steelers' defense (No. 5) gave up 450 yards. And, they just gave up 325 yards to the Chargers (No. 2 Offense).

Bears win and they put Packers in tough spot versus NE next week. Pats are something like 25-2 after loss. Don't forget the slop that is the Bears field giving an edge to the Bears. However, they did resod it last week.

To grits and gravy: What 3 games did officials give them?
1st GAME- 1st Detroit game probably but their was still 35-40 seconds left if Johnson's Td counted and with Bears special teams and a few timeouts that is alot of time left.
2nd GAME- 2nd Detroit game NOT A CHANCE. Suh's penalty was a seven yard penalty. The Bears would have had 2nd and 2 from 14 instead of 1st and goal from 7. They were down by 3pts and still would have tied it up with a field goal and Detroit can't finish games. There was like 7 minutes left and the bears drove to field goal range at the end of the game but just ran out the clock.
3rd GAME-NO Other game with questionable call. Unless you consider Philly onside kick where officals ruled Bears player gave himself up. But it didn't matter because replays showed he was touched while on the ground.

It's amazing how everyone only remembers what happened in the last 24 hours. Everybody just wants to hand over the Super bowl to the Pats just because they beat the Jets. Come on guys, its the NFL.

3 weeks ago everybody wanted to give the trophy to the Eagles because Vick was coming off one of the greatest games ever. Since then they've gone 2-1, and both the opposing teams had chances to win in the 4th quarter but made bad plays.

Now don't get me wrong, the Pats are very good. And Bellichek may be the best coach in the league, and Brady is great. But they aren't the Patriots from 6 or 8 years ago.

The media made this game out to be bigger than it really was. It was 2 teams, tied for the lead in their division, playing for the top spot. Just like the Pitt/Baltimore game Sunday night. But everybody is acting like it was the Super Bowl.

I agree with LB on this one and say the Bears beat the Pats Sunday. And looking at the Pats schedule, I could easily see them going 2-2 the last four games. But I could also see them going 4-0. I think the Bears win, but I don't like betting against Bellichek, there are better places to put my money.

                                                    Bears 24 Pats 20

Why? Cutler has been pick-less in 5/11 games. He's been extraordinarily accurate and sharp his last 5 games. That offense is still getting better and I don't see why they'll regress. I would look to take the over in this game.

Bears defense won't be torched like the jets and will put all kinds of pressure on NE. Bears will run the ball all over this pats defense and Cutler will manage the offense. Huge letdown spot for NE. Bears are most underrated team in the NFL and will be ready to catch Bill's boys off guard. I'm sure Ne will open up at least -3.5 and if they don't the signal is there. Bears need this game bad with a trip to GB still to come and will come out hard and focused.

Sure they have had some good luck but lets face it besides there loss to the giants there other two losses were by a fg each game. I know NE is awesome right now and has the same style and look they had when they were winning the titles ( which makes them the fave for the bowl imo). Pats offense has been on fire for weeks scoring loads of points and last night they had 10 days to prepare for a jets team that has had horseshoes up there ass all year. THis game goes to the wire and i really think the bears have a great chance of pulling it out. Certainly taking Chicago +3.5 is the objective instead of the ML but sometimes we leave those ML's and regret it later. NE is beatable.
