Eric Gordon Not Even Close To Being Ready For the Pros
Nice player definately but needs at least one more year to even get 15 minutes of playing time in the pros, nba rosters loaded with great guards.

EG is one and done, and he will be a lottery pick. The kid hasn't even came close to reaching his potential.

Of course I wish he stayed in college because because the NBA blows, and college ball is where is at! Can you imagine is everyone had to stay and graduate 4 years. The level of competition would be sick and the pros would become that much better. Only in a perfect world.

Eric Gordon is a great player as long as he has the ball in his hands. He doesn't excel at passing the ball or rebounding which is kind of necessary to help an NBA team win. Unless he changes his mind set he's just another Ron Mercer.

The team that has Kevin Love fall in its lap will contend immediately

he's probably going to be one of those who surprise me and do good. i actually don't think he is all that good, for the pros that is. he's not that tall, doesn't have exceptional hops, and that stutter step drive that he does is a carry, but they never call it, he brings the ball up from his dribble and pauses it, like cups it in the air and changes directions then starts dribbling. that is a carry. but like i said hes probably going to surprise me, just like Tayshawn Prince from UofK did, or Deron Williams from Ill., and many others. it just goes to show that some guys who go pro and have all the physical power and speed don't naturally translate into being great pros, but some guys who are just mediocre in raw strength and power, overcome that by being intelligent players and having good fundamentals of the game.

Just trying to find a highly regarded scorer is all. Ron Mercer never helped a team win and I don't see Eric Gordon doing so either.

I attended a few Capitol Classics in my day and never could wait for the summer so I could hit up "Urbo" and watch the best players go at it. The last Capitol Classic I went to I just remember thinking it was ridiculous how many times I watched Lebron head bounce above the rim. And that noone could keep C. Paul in front of them.

your earlier description of Gordon made me think of Miles Simon.
