    COMPUTER NERDS quick question?
downloaded a game for my psp, it was a rar file with those tons of billion files that are connected together. anyhow i didnt realize the file was not in a folder and i extracted the rar file on to my desktop. basically my whole desktop was filled with rar files. however your desktop can hold only so much icons, i deleted all of the ones i can see, but i was wonder wtf happened to the other 50+ rar files i didnt delete... are they still lurking on my computer somewhere cause i dont want it to take up memory...

look in the folder where you got the rar file from originally..is it still there? if so you have to extract ALL the files..use Winrar to do that

bobby thanks for the help, but i dont think you understand what im asking.

however to answer your question i delete the original file and got the game etc and im good. however thats not what im asking...

the rar file didnt come in a folder, it was just random files of 100+. i extracted it by accident on my desktop ( no folder just the rar file) it took up my whole desktop filled with rar files. i deleted like 20 of them cause thats as much as my desktop could hold, however im wondering wtf happened to the other 80+ cause they were no where to be found.

You extracted the 100+ files on your desktop. You deleted 20, but you think you still have around 80 you can't see on your desktop, couse it went full.

You have a desktop folder, which can contain more files then you can see. You can do this by clicking on 'my computer' and then desktop. If these files exist, they can only be here if there aren't here, then they were never created.

If your torrent directory was your desktop, then checking the torrent directory does the same as I wrote above. If your torrent directory is not your desktop then obviously there's no use to check it.

This is what I would have suggested.
