I have to work for a living, but sorta in the same boat. Me and my father have a business, I do all the work, he gets all the work for me to do. But it's nice because he pays me more than he pays himself. And nothing beats having company credit cards.

My g/f hates me, because she bitches about dealing with people all day every day, and I don't talk to anyone, and don't think I've ever complained to her about my job. But she brings home the big bucks.

i would tell her that life is what you make it (and then i would probably get slapped)

seriously though i know plenty of people that, no matter what job they had or what boss they had, they would complain about it. and there are plenty of people that will enjoy their job no matter what they do/who their boss is.

I work when I want, have been helping my neighbor on the farm some this summer. It has been a lot of fun, haven't done any work like that since I was a kid.

I agree...But she's a manager at one of the top wholesale corporations, and she has to deal with all the customers and there complaining, always wanting money off or free fixes. And shes 25 so kinda young to be in that position but she worked there for 6 years before that, then got the offer to open a new store as manager.

I tell her she needs to settle down and just let them complain, and then she gets pissed at me. I tell her she makes more money than most of her friends and all of them went to college, and she should just be happy she has the opportunity.

long time ago I dated a girl who owned her own commercial window cleaning business. This was back when I was makin' book so I was pretty free through the week & would go with her a lot & help her so she'd get done quicker. She had all the Pizza Huts in the area, like 15 of 'em. So everyday or at least every other she was going to at least 2-3 of them, and they would give her all the leftover Pizzas on the buffet. I was in leftover pizza heaven for a long time.

We would heat that shit up in the oven & have friends over to watch the game & they would think we were always ordering Pizza Hut pizzas so they would feel guilty & supply all the beer

I don't do much work but not by choice so it is depressing. Trying to find a permanent gig and filling time with temporary attorney assignments. I wish I had the balls (and capital/lack of debt) to start my own business...

In the meantime I am relegated to domestic duties (I love cooking) while my live in GF brings home the bacon.
