Which line is correct? Opening or closing?

Are there any stats on this?

I always feel like the opening like is the most accurate line and the market is not efficient. I think that if a team is -2 at the beginning of the week and -5 at game time, that the correct line is still -2, and it's a steal to +5, making it a +EV wager.

But does anyone have any proof or evidence on this???

Well then you're still a fool for bringing up this topic if you already have the answer in your own mind. If you are making money on it, why even bring it up? I do well also, using a formula with the opening line and do quite well also, but now you bringing these things to people's attention (and for NO REASON), you just ruined it for yourself.
