Who is JJ's successor?

After watching JJ's latest video, I think its obvious that he's not in the best of health. Both physically, and emotionally, he looks like he's on his way out.

Who takes over when JJ goes? I'm very concerned. I fear there would be a power vacuum, and the board would splinter. Multiple factions would form, and the board would devolve into a civil war of sorts.

Is there an official successor to JJ? How would the forum maintain itself? These are all prudent questions, and we deserve answers.

Personally I believe JJ to be a great character here at SBR. People take shots at JJ because each video may not be a home run or every post a grandslam. Do you know how many posts this guy makes? How many videos? The reason people sour on him is because most of his posts are over the top and his vids are funny as hell and if they fall short, it's time to knock JJ. This guy is a character and there isn't anyone who could come up with "I almost fukked my aunt last night" or dokking or steam room hijinks. If I have a criticism at all, it's to keep the vids under 5 minutes as it's tough to keep people watching more than that.

This is the toughest of crowds. Disgruntled, jaded gamblers in one room. They don't want to laugh to begin with and if they do, most of them keep it to themselves but they'll be the first to criticize because that's what they're good at. JJ, you keep, keepin' on brother. You're one brilliant motha fukka.

He has started numerous threads about me, both directly and indirectly, and because I know that 95% of what he has posted is extrapolated and twisted in a way that it becomes utter bullshit, then I automatically apply those thoughts to his other threads about individual posters ie PokerDildo/Rudy - I'll get you a job... Illini - loan me money for a company that doesn't exist and whose name is grabbed from shari91's son's name. This stuff to me is stale - and again for the thousandth time, my reg date doesn't fully indicate how long Ive been around for although I've never posted under another username so don't start with that.

He is one of the funnest guys I've ever encountered, and beyond that has the biggest heart when he wants to - but cheapening himself and his brand with some of this stuff is just silly and more importantly not necessary. Legends know when they've done their job and will coast on their legacy. JJ acts like he still has something to prove but unfortunately is getting so sloppy that even the tiniest Inspector Gadget could figure him out in no time. Very sad when you think about it.

In fact, it is just the opposite. His threads about other posters and his dealings with them make him even more compelling. You're proselytizing because you are now in the know and you want everyone to know that you know JJ fabricates, embellishes, and downright conjures events out of wholecloth. Congratulations. But does everything have to be authentic to be amusing or out and out hilarious? Of course not.

I think we like to believe there's a grain of truth somewhere but even if there isn't, it's good for a laugh. He's not cheapening himself when he does this Shari, he's branding himself because of it. He is a legend because of it. People are curious creatures. We like to people watch, to see what makes others tick and how, in a strange way, it might correlate to ourselves. JJ waxing prosaic on Nadal, Kobe, Lebron or Brady is just another guy talkiing sports. But when he talks about the abberant, the deviant or even something as pedestrian as customer service at a sportsbook, we all take notice, stop and listen. I'm surprised someone like you who appears to get "it" around here with an intelligence above the median, doesn't understand JJ's true virtue to this site. How many threads in Players Talk are about sports? Very little considering this is a gambling forum. It's about life with some sports integrated throughout. I may be in the 'know' but I'm no more in that place than anyone else who has spent more than 4 days in PT - his stuff doesn't add up. He contradicts himself within the same thread and almost appears to have forgotten what he's posted only 3 minutes before. He didn't do that before which leads me to believe he's spreading himself too thin as far as trying to assume too many personas at the same time, thus failing them all.

I love jjgold the character and I love the guy with another name behind the username. They have both provided me with endless amusement during a particularly hard time in my life: the character has made me giggle and forget bad beats and the real guy has tried in numerous ways to sort out real life Shari stuff (even if he messed some stuff up in the process ).

But at the end of the day, even if there is always an endless stream of new posters who will suck all of his jigabaloo up (as they will), there are too many others who will flood those threads, as they continue to do, calling him out on the failure of his schtick. Unless everyone that signs in for the next week takes an oath to support and maintain the myth that is jjgold, then he needs to tighten the whole gig up. That's all I'm saying. It's just becoming too easy to pick out where he contradicts himself and I personally feel he's much better than that.

I am still having a difficult time determining if it's a 100% act or maybe only a 50% act. I think he's on here way too much (even for an employee) to be a normal person and live a normal life. I think he's even admitted he's an SBR employee and everyone should have figured that out by now.
