Doubt it's true but a buddy of mine says he knows someone who pulled off this heist/thievery/scam

So this dude goes into a Walmart, fills up his carriage with tons of shit. Some cheap stuff some expensive electronics, but the thing is damn near overflowing and then goes to the Customer Service area and demands he wants to RETURN his items since he is not happy with any of them.

The Rep tells him "sir you must have a receipt if you want to return these goods" He says "i lost the damn receipt, these were all bought here, don't be such a hardass about this, most of the stuff wasn't even opened yet so just give me back my money and all is good"

They are bickering back and forth until a manager comes and says "no receipt no returns under any circumstances". This guy then goes on cursing out the manager about Walmarts terrorist tactics and having monopoly on all small businesses and any other shit he knows about Wal Marts that is bound to tick the manager off.

The manager then tells the guy he cant return any of the goods and has the man escorted with his carriage of expensive goods out the door past the security. The dude continues to badmouth the manager even after he is chucked and then goes on his way out of Walmart with all his free shit he just stole/scammed/outsmarted? from walmart

Maybe could pull it off I think if you have someone else fill the cart for you, hide it somewhere in the store, and then you come later and take it right up to customer service without anyone seeing you fill it up. Don't alarms go off for unbought items too?

easiest scam back in the day was having one guy take stuff into an elevator/dressing room/bathroom where they can't have cameras and have another guy come grab it out of there - even if they catch the 2nd guy he can just claim he found it

I worked at a retail store and someone did that after Christmas. They got a radio off the shelf and tried to return it.

It worked but I doubt at a big store like Walmart you'd be able to pull it off.

This is correct.Also, if paid by credit card, that is all that is required.Not a receipt.

At my local wal-mart they don't have the detector things on the entrance doors, only the exit (it's an older wal-mart). So if he gets kicked out the front doors by customer service, I guess this could work. Although unlikely still

Walmart doesn't have greeter's on the way in and out of the store to be friendly. It is to stop this kind of stuff. I know the hardcore drug addicts in Las Vegas did similar stuff all the time. No electronics but just go fill a cart with stuff and walk out the entrance. They did it at lots of grocery stores too. The important thing for the smart ones was to keep it under $225($250?), which was the break point for a misdemeanor vs. a felony. I knew some people who worked surveilance trying to stop this sh!t. I knew more about casino scams but I heard about this as well. But this was straight theft and not really a scam with screaming and cussing.

This probably didn't happen.

1) All electronic devices will go off from the alarms in Wal-Mart.
2) there are 100s of camera in Wal-Marts.
3) when you go into most Wal-marts, you need to get the item tagged with the current date on it.
4) You would have to run into a extremely stupid CS person; plus a manager that has no idea what they are doing (which is not the case. they have extreme training, with crap pay, unless it was just a CS manager, and not an actual manager)

Could it happen, sure. I worked at a Wal-mart 10 years ago for a few months (never again, I would rather be homeless).
I definitely saw tricks that worked, or almost worked(that would work with different circumstances).

Actually you can return things at walmart without a receipt and get cash. But they need your drivers license and they make a copy of it and make a report. I think they give you one or two chances to do this. Afterwards you better have a fukking receipt.

BTW, this story/scam was funny as hell. If any of you fukkers try this shit, get it on camrea and post here on SBR and I will throw you 100 SBR points.
