Over the last little while the forum as change not just because of the new arrivals,
not all the blame can be put at their door step.
Allot of those that where here before either are staying away and cannot be blame for it,while others have swam along with that noticeable downstream currant that some of us have written about is this thread.

It has become busier but not better in the past month. Lot more immaturity these days. Used to be here and there, now it's rampant.

I've seen forums go through different stages, and when successful (thanks to the early posters) it's common to see a new wave of posters. I've even seen them take over a forum, to the point that hardly any of the original members stayed. I was one of the early posters at another forum, and we had made it into a super cool place, with great creative writing (wasn't a sports forum). It was outrageously good. Newbies, when they first came, were invariably in awe of the 'Elders' and tried to chime in with cool stuff, but the quality gradually went down. When I visited back there later with the sense of humor of the original place, the newbies had taken over and just chewed me out. There was nothing left of the old atmosphere.

This is not a great forum. It can be. Maybe, in the future. Right now I would consider it average at best.

I doubt I'll stay here much longer. This forum is indeed taking a dive. It will soon be unreadable. The newbies are threatening to take over, and the majority of them are not adding quality.

So what will it be? Quantity or quality. This battle can't be won by quality. On forums quantity always wins.

For what I need, this is the place for me. They give honest book reviews and seem to fight for the players. In addition I have received some good plays and information from other posters. I have no reason to go anywhere else as I do not post that much nor do I have time to be checking a 100 different message boards.

I like Dark Horse too, good writer and seems like smart guy. If he packs bags I'd be curious to know where he's off to, because as it is, I don't think any gambling forum is "the place to be". All will get on nerves eventually.

I moved on to the stock market for the most part. 'Lazy gambler plan' is to play only NBA between ASB and playoffs, and NFL totals. I really don't need to hang out with fourteen year olds, so if they take over that will be it for me.
