Worst offshore sportsbook of the year in 2007?
We have plenty of candidates this year to win this award.

    1.) Sportsbook.com

These guys slow paid and robbed their players all your round starting way back in March. Brutal doesn't even describe how bad this book has been this year

    2.) Cascade

When Lenny's partner left. He went on a slow pay/no pay spree that is still going on to this day. I mean this is the first time I've ever seen SBR have a sub forum for any book in order to field all the complaints.

    3.) Royal

Royal confiscated 30 players funds when they claimed that a touts plays were part of a syndicate after SBGGlobal

    4.) BetUS

This book has been in slow pay mode the entire year of 2007. It was/is so bad that Justin7 was putting in tons of overtime to field all those slow pay complaints.

No book fell harder than Cascade in recent years. Sportsbook.com always surprised people when they stiff because they have such high volume and long-time users. Royal (as part of SBG)... par for the course. BetUS actually improved if you compare them to their 06 and 05 versions... Quiet and not a lot of funny stuff. If you are a soccer bettor you have Premierbet and BetChance on your list.

Right, and they still do the billboard stuff. They think they will get more mileage out of marketing Superbook now. Those campaigns are firing up.

Cascade hands down. How many checks did they send out this year--I think you can count that on one hand.

I should have included these books on this poll Bill.

Both those books stiffed everyone and left them high and dry.

Shark some people are just not fortunate enough to come across SBR and see the warnings about particular sites. They just google sportsbook and go to books that "look safe". As we all know, they all look pretty good on the outside i.e. their website.

100% correct with an honorary mention for Victor Chandler which they managed to achieve on the very last day of 2007.

$5M seems to be the best estimate. What does Cascade owe at this point?

Just hard to understand how Sportsbook.com has so many damn problems! They are huge and have been around for years....says alot about the people who runs that shit operation.......reminds me of BetOnSports, probably one of the top 3 biggest sportsbooks ever but just didnt like to pay winners!

Not sure what the total is on Cascade right now, but I know it wasn't anywhere close to 54 million.

                                    Not $54M ... $5M.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cascade owed that much. Those balances add up quickly and they targeted the biggest players.

SBR_John posted once about meeting a Sportsbook.com manager in a bar in Costa Rica. John quoted the guy having said, "With a name like Sportsbook.com, we don't have to be good." That pretty much sums up their operation, from top down.

                                          Agree, you forgot Pointbet.
2nd for me is Cascade, because they had high limits and been sitting on an A-. Very dangerous, Pointbet was only an average book at best, and if i would have played there i knew the risk.
