Anyone ever stay there. Wondering how nice a hotel it is. I'm used to staying at caesars or venetian but they are sold out two of the 4 days im going out and i got bally's for 140.00 for 4 nights. three nights comped. I know it's definitely a step down from the other two but how far a step down. Any info thanks.

#2On a 1-5 scale, it's about a 2.5. Not a dump, but not a great property.Comment -

#5Rooms are very spacious, especially if you grease the clerk a $20 at check in. Very clean, not luxurious but nice. You cannot beat the location on the strip -- central to everything. It is my choice of where to set up -- not expensive and I usually get comped the whole stay. Also easy access to Flamingo (next door), Paris (inside tunnel), and Planet Hollywood (two hotels down). I know the hotel well, so let me know if you have any specific questions about it.Comment -

#6wow sounds like your a real VIP
ballys does have the "superstar" option you can upgrade too
they have their staff follow you around all day throwing rose pedals at your feet while on the propertyComment -

#7I stayed there a few years ago.
The pluses are big rooms and centrally located on the strip.
Nothing wrong with the place or the rooms. I'm sure they are not as nice as the newer casinos.Comment -

#10the casino directly across the street is very good for large free booze. i forget the name of the place. its a smaller casino, but great for getting trashed and stumbling back to your room!Comment -

#11haven't stayed since the evil empire took over so i dont know how far its fallen, but it was comparable to the older rooms at ceasars. you will want south tower upgraded rooms. the north tower has rooms with direct views of the fountains at bellagio, but they are old. rooms and location are the highlights, casino and food are not so good.Comment -

#14closed, but ballys and paris are actually one hotel, with two names, and the buffet at paris is excellent. so good the lines are too long. the big kitchen had the same food , just less selection at a lower price and no lines.Comment -

The place across the street with the cheap booze is Bill's Gambling Hall, which is the old Barbary Coast. Go there to see a cheap but entertaining show from Fat Elvis.
I'm far from a VIP or high roller -- just a platinum card holder from Harrahs's which is one tier up from the Gold which everyone gets.Comment -

#18And I would avoid Rio....... besides the off strip location, Harrah's is trying to unload the property and make Planet Hollywood the replacement for its big events like the WSOP, and Miss USA.
If you do go to Rio -- Penn and Teller put on a great show that isn't expensive.Comment -

#20I stayed there a few years ago and thought it was fine. As another poster said, rooms are clean and you can't beat the location. Same could also be said for Bill's across the street. Same central location and even cheaper than Bally's.
Neither will give you the "I'm a pimp in Vegas" impression but if you want a center strip location and plan on gambling at other casinos, you can't go wrong.Comment -

#22I love Bally's. It's not as nice as Venetian or Bellagio, but it is very decent. And you can walk through there with jeans and a t-shirt, and you're fine. Great price and great location also. If you have a Harrah's card and play at all on it, you should get free rooms during the week. MGM Grand and Bally's are my two favorite hotels. Classy, but not extravagant.Comment -

#28Spice Market used to be one of the best (Actually when it was Alladin and not PH), but it has gone downhill considerably. You're better off going across the street to the Bellagio Buffet for a few dollars more. Bellagio Buffet is hands down the best on the strip.Comment -
