Way different era's...the game was way different- hard to compare using just #'s, a lot of other factors go into being a team leader and hall of famer

But Brad Johnson never had the bravado to guarantee a win over anybody just when the TV networks where trying to invent this new NFL right after they just drove a dump truck full of money up to Pete Rozeles Office
But point taken, Joe Namath's teams defense and running game beat a poorly coached in big games(look at Shula's record) overrated Colt's team
He made no mistakes that Sunday
If Earl Moral spots a wide open Mackey in the end zone, does Len Dawson performance the following year gives us a new 40 year legend

Numbers don't tell the story here.Leave Joe Namath alone.Class act and trend setter with a better release than Marino(according to John Madden)

Guy in a thread a few days back stated that EVERY TB QB WAS OVERRATED. Not so. Underrated is Johnson.

no nfl player has had the swagger of broadway joe, forget the wins and losses, he was all about the show, bachlor III had more press than any sports story of that year, he played QB for bear bryant says bunches

Neither one has any business being in the HOF without a ticket.

                      Both average qb's at best

If you think Joe is a hall of famer you do not know the first thing about football.
