BTJ, if we had a black President, he wouldn't be "black" black, you now? He wouldn't be like "yo, yo yo yo, son. son. son, yo, son, yo let me kick the real sh*t to you son. First and foremost, the black man was the original man, and mad niggas need to recognize they history, son. Yo, let's hit that jumbo crack, son".

He wouldn't be like that at all, he would be more like "Hello. How are you? Nice to meet you. Let me tell you about my 6-point plan to reduce the tax burden on middle class families who count their pennies but don't qualify for the Alternative Child Left Behind Tax break" and shit like that.

Aren't US travellers more likely to be harassed than others?

              I'm asking this seriously.

Personally, I have two passports (Canadian & Italian) and travelling is smooth on either.

FWIW: I'm Canadian born/raised but get Italian citizenship from my father, Italy considers you a citizen (if you apply - which I did) if at least one of your parents was/is Italian. I can now freely travel/live/work in ANY EU nation with no restrictions as an Italian citizen. This is convenient.

                Absolutely not.

Regardless of how messed up things are in the world, and in the US itself, there is no other country I would rather be a citizen of, and giving it up just to gamble on-line would be idiotic.

If you don't think so, then you are free and welcome to leave immediately (and please don't some back anytime soon.)

Yes americans get searched worse in europe than arabs do in the states. Plus americans pretend to be canadian in europe. my friend met someone in europe witha canadian flag on their backpack. they were american.

Compared to a Canadian or Italian passport they are none. But, I live in Colombia, and if I eventually get a passport here, they # of countries I can visit without a **** are about 12. I'll trade my US passport for a Canadian one tomorrow, unfortunately it's not quite that simple.

"Would you renounce your U.S. citizenship to gamble online?"

No, but I am not satisfied on this issue.

I want to sit down with some of the people inside our government, away from the cameras and microphones, look them in the eye and get a straight answer as to why they feel gambling online is something to be outlawed.

Is it about addiction and how that's evil? Or maybe it's about the children?

If it's about addiction, how is the high I get from cashing in a winning basketball bet any different from what I feel when I legally win a horse bet online?

If it's about the children, how are they any less able to find a way to load up at some offshore book right now? Because that's all this is, you're making the assumption I'm not involved in my kids life and that he's capable of doing whatever the hell he wants without having to answer to anybody...

And if we're talking about protecting kids that grow up with parents who don't give a hoot, let's just hope they learn something in a classroom. There are plenty worse things a kid can be doing than sitting home watching to see if the Giants cover the spread.
