OT: any tech people on here
question: does any of those free programs found on the internet that are supposed to hide your IP address actually work. hell i don't even know what my true IP address is. every site i've ever tried that is supposed to give me my IP address, gives me a different one usually. but about the free programs that are supposed to hide you IP address. do they just hide my computers IP or do they hide/mask my routers IP?

Yes, they work. Best way though it to use a proxy server on a different continent and change which proxy server you use frequently. I would change the proxy server every time I logged in to an offshore site.

i think it's good to change your IP since Books these days will find any excuses in the books to not pay out.

You better get written approval if anyone plans on going that route at all, because anonymizers and proxy servers are prohibited unless discussed with Management in advance at a lot of books.

<sigh> Well, you would have to be really retarded to let them know you were using a proxy server. There are ways to hide that fact as well.

                      .

If I can add to this thread. Not all Proxy Servers would work when logging onto a Sportsbook site. Many Sportsbooks nowadays use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), which requires you to use a Secure Proxy Server.

                      Good Luck on your outcome.

No way you should use a free program. You are giving the book an excuse to fvck you. I would think long and hard before doing that. One mistake and you could be flushing your cash down the toilet.

Make sure you check the T&C of the site.

Can't the proxy server address generally be resolved back to the same company or pool of addresses? I would think if a book/casino did much checking at all, they could tell your session is coming from a proxy. Sure, it keep you anonymous, but you might end up sharing the same IP address as another gambler or a kiddie porn dealer.

Back in college I used to hack edu computers and use their HD space and bandwidth to serve movies in IRC. I also set up proxy servers on these computers as processes that ran in the background and would use them to hold multiple accounts at a certain sportsbook. I made a lot of money being a bloodsucker back then but now I am a straight player. Quit hacking too because I got busted and almost went to jail.

                                  Just play straight.
