#248If you all out quit gambling.. then you should stop gambling with points as well. You got to quit everything.. not even betting side shit with friends over drinks or meals.
You'll eventually get tired of betting points and realize you could be winning real money and next thing you know you're gambling again.Comment -

#253Hey come on guy. We all struggle with issues in our everyday lives. It only becomes solvable when someone really wants to change and has hit that low point in their life. I use to drink 24 beers and drive, Navigation is a drunk mans death wish (voice-TURN LEFT HERE!), until I got a DUI when I was 19. Thank god no one died, no one was hurt, and all i was hit with was the minimum. OMG gambled until he realized he had a problem that was hurting him and others. Maybe Profit kicks back a few and maybe he does lose control. But ill bet you anything that anyone who actually realizes the full extent of their destructive actions will cease to do them sooner or later. Great success is often found down a broken path, remember thatComment -

#257Yah man and I was under age. It took the DUI to get me under control though. Im glad I got it because I would have died if it didn't go down how it did. I was the type, when i was younger, to only drink to get drunk as FUH. Now i only drink a few and rarely ever get shit housed like i used to. Im a firm believer of every success story stems from a broken path man. Hell I even had some fun doing it at the time too, made me a more knowledgeable man.Comment -

And I didn't blow but I crashed into three parked cars, 15 feet from my condo (no one was hurt or injured thank god). Stepped on a belt buckle that afternoon and took 2 Xanax bars to top it all off. I don't remember much, just going to get more beer at 5 am and then coming back and seeing my boy catching brain from some bitch in my bed. Told him I crashed and I needed him right away. He ran down with nothing but a towel on and a condom underneath. Last thing i remember wearing that night was jeans and a T shirt. Woke up in jail wearing an under amour shirt and shorts with shoes and no socks. The temp in jail was like 50 degrees in a room half the size of a standard living room with 50 bums, blacks, hispanics, and a transvestite. It was the prime mover to changing my life around, Im turning 23 next week. I was 19Comment -

#262OHHH i got it now. No, that night my best friend came into town with this girl we were suppose to double team (which she had previously mentioned she was down to do). We woke up and killed a bottle or so at the beach, might have smoked some extra curricular's, and we were getting ready to leave when I stepped on the nail. Called a buddy for medication to numb the pain. Got 6 Xanax bars, 2 for each of us, that contain three pills in each bar. Probably killed a case or so or more between us three. Played strip poker and got neked apparently which is why i ended up in the under armour shirt and shorts. Went to get more beer for us at 5 am easter morning, so my buddy would warm the bitch up and i could pull the old, "oh hey look at mine". Got distracted on a turn, crashed, got disoriented from hitting my head on the steering wheel. We apparently killed all the pills and everything before I crashed. The old "oh hey trick" worked to perfection with the minor flaw being my accident outside and me getting arrested. Needless to say I feel much older than 23. I don't go clubbing and get smashed anymore. I have an older girlfriend I absolutely love and keeps me honest and sane. And yah life changes quickly so I've learned to build a solid foundation for when those storms come around to try and break you down. Plus I have enough kick ass party stories to last me quite a while hahaComment -

#263HELLL THE **** NO!
lol I've always been really good at alluding trouble and the police, and pray my record continues to reflect that. I dont even want to imagine my life with 6 months in jail. A close friend of mine was 21 and got 21 years in jail for killing a cop in Gainesville in a DUI accident. The night of the national championship game where Florida was in the finals. When i saw his ass on CNN chills went down into my assholes (borat voice). You guys might remember it. Crazy shitComment -

#265I hear that man. Like I said, "all I can do is hope I have a strong enough foundation to get through the storms that come along with time." Hopefully I can keep my shit together man but who knows. I dont know what I would do without pornhub and my girlfriend for 6 months hahaComment -

#268It is very important to use only a small percentage of savings until you find a consistent way of winning. I have not, and I think very few can, so keep that in mind.Comment -

#272Congratulations man! Im happy for you, I've also joined the bandwagon with you and have stopped using real money to place wagers I stopped gambling the day before the Boston Redsox and Yankees game on ESPN. I was burning through cash and I started saving it all since I really want to keep things strong with my girlfriend and enjoy dinners and outings with her more than I want to sit in front of a TV screen and worry profusely (shes going to have to deal with the computer screen tho haha). Keep it up man!

#276i know i shouldn't care, this is no joke though, i at one point had a bankroll over $10,000 on pokerstars and i started off playing a 5/10 limit session, after chasing my losses from that session all day my account was drained to zero. i went from a $200 loss (only 2% OF MY BANKROLL, 2% of my bankroll should not of bothered me that much) to losing an entire account worth more than ten grand. On top of that i had a 5k check on the way, i emailed stars and told them to cancel it and fund my account. I had it the next day and I lost all 5k within 2 hours at 100/200 limit.
I still have the voided 5k check, would of been the biggest check i had ever cashed, if only i had cashed it.
This whole thing is a BS sob story that omg made up, probably to get free points/money.Comment -

#277That's now how pokerstars works buddy. They take the money from your account before they send you a check. They wouldn't send you a voided check if you cancelled your cashout.

#278They had already put the 5k check in the mail, so yes i received the check later even though it was already voided, since i asked them to cancel payment on it.Comment -
