I hate when posters come in after a losing wager to give a " War & Peace " version of why their wager lost. Denmark eventually scored the 2nd goal , after several goals were disallowed , so i say this from a winning position. FIFA is such a farce in the way that they are swayed by the antics of an individual and the ability of a referee's incompetence to alter outcomes.
After the 1 - 0 loss to China , where they were outplayed by 10 player China , the Haitian coach protested about the lack of calls given his way. Denmark score a goal where the keeper came racing out past the 18 yd box to slide tackle the Denmark player who clearly won the ball first. The ensuing goal was reviewed by VAR , where i assumed the keeper would be given a red card for the foul as she was " last player back ". Result of the review..... No Goal due to a foul by the Denmark player who clearly won the ball first. I guess the squeaky wheel does get the oil. Bitch and complain enough and you will be rewarded.

Also , they have to review yellow cards that are handed out in error. The yellow given to Lavelle of the US , which keeps her out of the USA's next game , was a foul by the Portugal player as she pushes her from behind and in the path of her own player. It should be rescinded.

2) Plenty of talented countries out there that just needed to catch up, just like in basketball.

3) Similar to basketball again, our country decided to think they just needed to show up to win the whole thing, the heart is gone. They deserve to lose in this next round and fly home in shame. Depending on Morgan for everything is already a sign of how far they have fallen.

I saw that post by Drunkenhorseplayer. Sweden ( #3 ) and Portugal ( # 21 ) are miles apart in quality. Where Portugal had Silva and Pinta , 2 international talents , Sweden can boast 6 or 7 such players. The lack of finish should be a major concern for US backers. Talking about the many missed chances against Portugal , only embellishes the real issue this World Cup. US have trouble scoring. Having a problem scoring against the likes of Vietnam and Portugal is a far cry from the teams they are about to face. Can they beat Sweden ? I think they can, but the only soccer played to date that holds any water is the 2nd half against Netherlands. IMO the remaining soccer played isnt going to cut it against Sweden.
