Now suns no point guard no draft picks no depth. But new owner wanted to make it known he was here

They weren’t going anywhere with that old team so they took a shot. I think both arguments trade/no trade are valid so probably better to just get Durant because as an owner he’s going to make you more money

I thought suns ml was a good pick and the suns were in control.

Once paul got hurt and the suns put in payne they went from lead to losing

Is what it is, bad break. Get some lose some

cameron payne is ridiculously bad. he got cut from several teams, because they took one look at him and said it's obvious this guy is not an nba player

    payne +/- -16 on the floor. 17 minutes. incredibly bad. 1-7, 1 rebound, 2 points, 4 fouls, 1 assist.

    paul +8 in 25 minutes.

    difference of 24 points

veteran, polished players dealing with an idiot on the floor. waterbug going nowhere

Suns season over. We can’t blame Johnny though. It was always heading this way. They fired a shot and missed on KD. Their bench is a bunch of SBR REC LEAGUE GUYS. CP3 done and should retire. Booker should ask for a trade. Ayton- it’s hard to watch a guy that big always get pushed around.

true story. they were western conference clear favorites, and now without paul (assuming he's out) and down 0-2 they are obviously in desperation mode

all eyes on chris paul if he can play game 3. lucky for suns not until Friday

If losing a 38 year old guard late in the 3rd quarter is all it takes for you to unravel, you're not a good team.

Nuggets have went on some of their biggest runs (in both games thus far) with the league MVP on the bench.

Well they trade away everyone so they have to rely on this 37 year old

Brooklyn was trying to get rid of their problems with big contracts and they found suckers in Dallas and Phoenix to shed them of their mistakes. Mark my word they will get rid of that idiot Ben Simmons around the trade deadline next season. Watch for which stupid team trades for him.

Shamet and Payne were their options at the position before the trade... those two are still options.

My point is that winning and losing shouldn't come down to the health of a 38 year old. Suns are not good.

if paul stays on the floor the spread likely hits. not only because of paul, but because they have no depth, cameron payne is a bad player who can't play defense and couldn't shoot. but, could be wrong. is what it is.

congrats to the nuggets spread holders, they got it right. well done.

agree, it was a terrible trade.

suns have no depth. they can't even figure out who the 5th starter is. they got durant and booker playing 40+ minutes.

they have houston rockets type depth. awful stuff. tj warren is washed. payne can't play defense. every player has issues, no 2-way players.

    everyone saw that today.

    update on paul

Monty Williams said Chris Paul couldn’t push off “at all” after his groin injury. Suns will learn more about severity tomorrow. Paul already left the arena.

    the trade:
Suns give up bridges (26 years old), cam johnson (27), jae crowder (32), 5 first round picks, 2 second round picks. first round picks given up in 2023, 2025, 2027, 2028, 2029. 4 of the 5 first round picks, and both 2nd round picks, unprotected.
Nets give up Kevin Durant (34 years old, former torn achilles, gets injured, and coming off a knee injury this season), TJ Warren (TJ Warren is washed and plays 0 minutes). So all of that was for kevin durant only

that...is a disaster of trade. would like to know, how anyone can see otherwise, especially if the suns blow it this year. cause they're not getting better with durant and paul a year older

this is what happens when owners, not gm's, decide team fates. you see it all the time in the business world, where managers make decisions and don't rely on the experts underneath them.

agree and it's on the owner too who pushed it. the gm should have said no. the story is, they thought they had the trade made. then the nets said we want crowder too. so they added crowder. the explanation was, they went out to dinner, talked about it/they weren't sure, and determined you only have one chance to get a superstar like kevin durant. to go all in.

Suns point guard Cameron Payne, a former lottery pick, bounced around the NBA and also had stints in China and the G League before finding a landing spot in Phoenix.

I'm not sold on Malone the coach for Denver. Sure Denver had key injuries throughout the years... but he doesn't make accurate crucial decisions. He's made bonehead mistakes in the past. If Denver somehow loses this series or the Conference Finals... he could be fired.

Post of the year. Unfortunately- I’m a suns fan and I don’t see it any other way. This trade will not deliver. The new owner wanted to make a splash… well- the only splash will be KD’s fishing line hitting the water early this year…

Malone a career loser who landed in Denver and is lucky for the roster he has. I agree. He’s very lucky they have made such great moves with that roster and drafted ok. Jokic has developed into an unbelievable player from the 2nd round. That’s very good luck.
