Johnny, question for you on NFL Expansion

I know you've touched on this in at least one thread:

*How do you see NFL Expansion playing out re: any Added European teams?

I've said for a while that this is going to happen. I don't think there will be an "International Division" which has been discussed. Only way that would work out is if four US-based teams also join. 40 would be too much IMHO.

    1) Add one London team and one German team. They join the AFC/NFC East.
    2) After those provisional teams, potentially two more European teams. They would join the AFC/NFC South.
    3) Teams can opt for week off after the Euro trip.
    4) Thursday nite games go away (except for Thx-giving week). The extra time slot is Sunday morning (EST).
    5) Use principle of Travel Partners, where appropriate. Could play two games over there in two weeks and flip the opponent.

What do you think? I think it's close to happening.

Rember that there's only one thing that NFL owners like more than Money. And that's...more Money.

    Happy Turkey Day, Lake.

I really think it happens. A few logistical issues. The Europeans seem to love NFL, they'd support multiple teams.

doubt there is enough interest to sellout 8 home games at london and germany after the 3 first years to have a franchise there

Fair point. You could be on to something there.

From what I hear, it's contrary to that. The Euros really love NFL. I really think 8 home London home games and 8 Berlin home games would do well.

the first years absolutely, but after 24-30 home games with ticket prices at premium i doubt they will sell all the seats.

i think the league will move to play 4-6 games abroad but not move a team there
