ncaa football behind the times once again

This would be a year for a 12 team playoff for sure. Looks like splitting hairs in 2 weeks.

    Yes

Will be a lot of controversy. Finally, usually there’s no controversy.

Seems pretty clear cut without any controversy at all. Georgia, TCU after they win the b12 championship, Ohio St/Michigan winner next week and USC. 12 team playoff is garbage and will ruin betting in college football.

Has to be 8-teams. Like March Madness, should be combination of Automatic plus At Large:
*5 Conf Champions should be in
    *Top Mid-Major
    *Plus top 2 at large.

I really think there has to be a place for the non-Big 5 Conferences. Finish the Mid-Major conferences one week early. Have the top two rated Non-Big 5 teams go H2H in play-in game.

Under that scenario, there won't be much debate for the at-large bid. This year it would likely be one SEC team and the OhioSt/Mich loser.

I saw earlier today the rose bowl is the only real hold up from 2024 starting the 12 team field. Basically they want to make sure they get an exclusive game at 5pm on New Year’s Day. That wouldn’t be a problem in 2024 or 2025 because they would host a quarterfinal (host a semifinal next year). I guess the playoff wants the season to move up a week starting in 2026 so that would be a problem going forward

You could be right,ya think maybe the NFL should just vote in the top 4 teams and phuck the rest? You know so as not to ruin betting in the pros.
