Really smart people are usually nerds and have no friends. They live in books and their work. Usually not very attractive people and they lack social skills.

That's my take on the super smart rocket scientist that is borderline autistic anyways.

I mildly, not 100 percent disagree, as I do see where you are coming from.

Smart, or having smarts suggests one with intelligence.
But yeah, you can have a head full of facts and not be able to intelligently use those facts.
    Then there's a difference.

    You're generalizing Jibby.
    You're better than that.

I work with IT engineers that are beyond brilliant with Brad Pitt looks that have super model type wives.

Read Robert Maheu's book "Next to Hughes:
Beyond fascinating, Hughes was a bigger nut job than we thought he was.

Not for nothing, Robert Maheu served as Hughes' right hand man for decades, he was one of a very few on the inside.

Best combination to be in life is both book smart and street smart.

I've read many books in my life time as well and I've always been interested in learning new things. I've also experienced the hard streets and in the hoods as being a property manager with the section 8 housing. Traveling the world also opened my eyes to many different cultures.

Being smart sucks. People are always coming up to ask some questions. When you're stoopid noone asks you shit, you don't get blamed for anything and being tard happy means the simplest of phenomenon will astonish you.

How do you define 'smartness'? People who had ivy college degrees and MD titles believed in covid scam. These are system produced doctors and personalities, who won't think out of box for any critical decision, following whatever protocols satanic masters provide.
Aaseevagam was the oldest religion in the world, at least, it was more than 20,000 yrs ago. One follower came and asked with God Muruga, who lived 12,000 yrs ago, that he wasn't happy and faced with lots of struggles. God Muruga said 'try not to think anything'. And it had become one of the famous 'mantras'. Yes, if you can control your mind, you can be happy. You won't control your mind unless you practice 'Kundalini' opening your tenth gate in your head.

    Yes, don't overthink about anything.

Going into the Air Force in 1987, I took the ASVAB test which they use to assign your job after basic training. I'm pretty sure they had 5 categories and I got a perfect score in Math and maybe 2 points from perfect in General or whatever. I also got like a 30% in Electrical/Maintenance or whatever that category was. I still can barely change a light bulb or open my hood and do anything

It still amazes me that some people that can build or fix complex things or do what they do. Those same people might be amazed at all the mostly useless knowledge I have of numbers, sports, history, geography, genealogy, etc.

Calling someone smart or a genius is so subjective though. I know in my poker room there are some very, very intelligent players in there and most are to be avoided, but thats not a lock either. I play with 1 guy that owns his own tech company or whatever, but yet he plays with ego and always tries to bully the table. Playing poker as an ego boost is not a recipe for winning, but the guy knows crypto and everything else that would be considered cutting edge.

Its better not to judge a book by its cover

^ I agree.... some people are very slick at certain topics.... to each their own. If you lack in an area... that said area... you'd be amazed at someone who has a better handle on it.

I wish I enjoyed socializing more, I'm severely introverted and it sucks. Always amazes me when I see people doing things with groups of friends like dinners, trips, etc... I can't fathom knowing that many people, having many friends and whatnot. I'm like an alien observing a different planet it sucks.

I enjoy smart people. I enjoy wise people more. With age comes wisdom.

Visit an old folks home and talk to them about life. You could learn something no matter how smart you think you are.

    Here you go Jibby.
Listen closely to this song about old folks.

    Pretty much spot on, huh?

    [Intro]
And then the same thing comes from us
And then the same thing comes from us

    [Verse 1]
Old have memories to keep the cold away
    What is that you say?
    No sense to dwell
Old, are you ridiculed and fumed away
    No attention paid?
    I thought as much
Yes and the dumb patriots have their say
    Only see their way
    Nothing to sell

    [Chorus]
And worse from us, so obvious
    Preposterous, when you think
Of the time that each has spent
Words heaven sent and truly meant to show (Ooh)

    [Verse 2]
Old, may I sit down here and learn today?
    I'll hear all you say
    I won't go away

    [Chorus]
And worse from us, so obvious
    Preposterous, when you think
Of the time that each has spent
Words heaven sent and truly meant to show (Ooh)

Smart people probably end up with more knowledge than average naturally.

But I'd agree educated people with a lot of taught knowledge can be disappointingly dull sometimes.

Street smart is just what people too lazy to learn call themselves.

Book smart is just people who need to be told how to think.

Big difference between both of those and real naturally smart types too.

Flip the question around. Does anybody ever wonder why stupid people aren't the saddest? Of course not. Nobody expects stupid people to be sad. So then why expect smart people to be happy? Extrapolate from there.

    My take is -

    - Street smarts gives you ability to see when people are trying to scam you, hurt you, etc.. or basically it teaches you to read into people and to not put trust into others. You become wise to the evil ways of people and puts you on guard. It can also teach you to con people as well.

    - Book smarts teaches you everything that street smarts don't..

JJ Gold claims to be intelligent....

as you can see, however, he is not happy:

did the research have anything to say about "intelligent people with tiny kahks" being unhappy?

ironically, the video shows the intelligent JJ grabbing ahold of what makes him so angry.....
