well earned for jokic. even though giannis was in the mix, it was embiid or jokic. knowing that, it was sad to see so many black players talk about how embiid deserves the MVP.. obviously ignoring the absurd job by jokic

    Let's, see?

10 weeks left in the season

    Embid -145
    Jokic +300

I ask myself, "Where is the value, where is the value"?

Easiest 300 I ever made in my life.
    It's all in the value.

Well, I guess a certain somebody "isn't going to spit in my face" (direct quote) when, not if, but when Embid wins the MVP award?

    Riddle me this?

How can "a top five all-time great center" (another direct quote) be a five-time great center when a current center has just won his second consecutive MVP, that being Jokic.

How can a so called " top five all-time great center" (direct quote) be an elite defender when he doesn't garner a single defensive player of the year vote, meanwhile another MVP award winner, and former DPOY award winner as well that being Giannis, picked up a slew of DPOY voters this season? And another current center, that being Gobert has won so many DPOY awards he doesn't even have enough room for anymore trophies on his fireplace anymore for trophies?

Fact of the matter is Embid can't distribute like Jokic can, the assist data proves that out, fact of the matter is Jokic out rebounded Embid this season, that can not be refuted, it's irrefutable, the data proves that out as well.

Embid did win the scoring crown this season, James wins that if he played in just two of his final four games to qualify for that title. But rules are rules, kudos to Embid for that accomplishment.
I wonder if you can apply the term "absurd variance" here?

Since Giannis played the majority of his minutes on the floor at the position center, and not power forward, he's technically a C/PF, not a PF/C, that would make Embid the third best center in the league.

So, riddle be this one more time, how can the currently third best center in the league be a "top five all time center"?
If so, that would make Jokic and Giannis a top four and top three center.
    And they are not.

If a certain someone, and you know who you are thinks about direct quoting this post, word of advice, I'd give that thought a hard second thought, because know this and know this well pal, if you do, I will make your forum rest of your life here a living hell. A nightmare.

There's a message in those last two sentences.

Philly was dominated in games 1 and 2 by Miami, they rolled Miami in games 3 and 4.

Embiid is the better scorer, rebounder, shooter, and he's the far better defender. Jokic is better at one thing, passing.

Embiid play in the Miami series, a series he's dominated defensively playing with a broken bone in his face and a mask on, has made the debate meaningless.

Embiid is without question a top 5 center, no center in NBA history has ever shot 37% from 3 and averaged 30 the way Embiid did this year.

    Not 1 in history.

I guess all the sports writers missed that memo that states sports writers don't like to give back to back MVP awards, they want to promote others.
That has to make top ten stupidest things he's ever said on a list of thousands of stupid things he's said.

And Jokic outrebounded Embid as well.
    Oh, ask me about +/-

Embiid had a broken bone, he wasn't cleared to play. You know nothing.

Embiid has already played more games than Jokic in the second round - because Jokic got eliminated.

Embiid is still playing, Jokic isn't.

Embiid is elite defensively, Jokic plays no defense.

he didn't miss them by choice. he had to properly clear concussion protocols and go by the rules. he certainly does not have issues playing hurt or with a mask.

I happen to think you're right.
The difference is one may carry his team to another championship.
However, his team has a supporting cast of Middleton and a cast of other quality players, as where Jokic has a supporting cast of pretty much a bunch of hamburgers.

Still doesn't change the fact that they both possess once in a lifetime, God given skillset.
Embid is a high volume scorer, he can't do all the other things the aformentioned player can.

The issue Philly had the final month of the season was Harden was trash, it had nothing to do with Embiid. Doc also blew several games by having Embiid on the bench to start the 4th.

Embiid is a far better shooter than Giannis, Giannis is a barely average shooter. Stop.

All 3 have a glaring weakness to their game

    Jokic: defense
    Giannis: outside shooting
    Embiid: availability

Embiid had no issue with availability this year or last year. He had a bone broke in his face and missed 2 games this series, but that's just a fluke play.

Good call on the jokic prop and if I'm not mistaken you had considered giannis as well at great odds during the 7th inning stretch of the regular season

He missed some time during a crucial part of the MVP race where jokic and giannis Gaines ground. Doc, Morey and harden all a part to play but the end result is the end result. History rarely remembers the excuses

No he didn't. Embiid was hurt by the fact that Harden played horribly, he never missed any significant time after the first 2 weeks of the season.

He missed 2 games during the stretch run after the all star break and over a dozen on the season. I guess it could be considered insignificant but the other guys made up massive ground on his MVP lead towards the end
