Spank's "LIMIT" notification seems to be (as he said) a helpful tool.

I'm a little foggy on how, but I think it's something like the following;

It's more advantageous for a player to bet into low limit games.

I'm not sure, but I think that's what the tool is for.

Can anybody explain "why" this is the case; if indeed it is the case..............

do u still use them ? last time i used them with paid service there was still about a 10-20 sec delay off real lines so i dunno

I used them until the end of the NBA season, but not since then. It was all real time then and always before that. It's literally advertised (or was) as real time odds.

I’ve been looking at it I’m not that impressed it’s not that easy to read difficult to get scores and the lines many are not, I think it’s free for a while because it’s nowhere near a paying product, I actually like that wager talk line service Its hooked into DB on a delay, The guy that runs it was a long time employee of the DB

Just tampering with the Spank Odds functions.

In particular, the "Line Move Alert" function. (does DB have this?)

I'm testing out line moves of 2.5% of value.

Not sure I comprehend the concept.

Lets use Boise -17 as an example.

Would a 2.5% value line move be .42? (2.5% of 17)

And that would, I think, result in a "line move indicator" of "Boise now -17.5".

But what about line increments. (i.e. from -17 -105 to -17 -120)?

How much of a value line move is that.

Or for the Bases. Let's say Chisx from -115 to -125.

Anyone know how to figure the value% of line move for that.

The "value line move" is an option in the sub-section of the "line move alerts" drop down column.

My 8th grade math teacher (Sister Mary Elepehant) would be pissed.........

Don Best has a line alert in the setup. You can set it for any books you want to. There are lots of different options for this. Sound of course if you want it also. DB also has a "key move" alert, and even a "middle" alert. There are tons of other options that can easily be set up if you want.

Don Best has deals with these books. I have seen it myself. When a book hits the key to change the line it shows on DB. All the books get as many free DB accounts as they need for this. So if Spanky is just winging it with book to book it can never be the same as DB. He can charge a lot less maybe and be successful, but for anyone wagering large amounts it is worthless compared to Don Best.

I agree with this. Spanky has to either be very competitive in pricing... OR... have something extremely useful that DB doesn't have. I think Spanky can be the #1 feed/source here... but he has more work to do.

Where do you think all these books, both offshore and in the US get their lines? Almost every one of them have accounts with Don Best. That has been a fact for a long time.

You don'r really think they are interested in anything that is not real time. Bells and whistles are for the suckers, not pros on both sides of the fence.

Donbest doesn’t have pinnacle though right? I mean isn’t that supposed to be one of the main things that sets Spankodds apart? But if it’s a minimum of a 38 second delay, like biggie said earlier, that’s not super great anyway

Right, DB lost pinnacle months ago.

I think they either require a shit ton of money now to get their live feed, or said the hell with providing live data to line services.
