    He played in 241 games.

The most by a RB in NFL history.

Amazing career. Hard to believe a running back going that many years.

    It’s just a 1-day contract, Jibby.

So he can retire a 49er

C'mon Jibbs. The opening post says that he only signed for one day to retire as a 49er.

He proves the benefit of staying low not giving tacklers a good shot at you.

That saddest name on that list is Peterson

If Les Frazier doesn't run him into the ground in a meaningless week 16 game (trying to save his job) and blow his ACL coupled w him beating the shit out of his kid a year later, AP is the all time leading rusher probably by 600-800 yards.

Just dumb mistakes cost AP that moniker & about $15mm in salary

Didn't AP win mvp the next year after that tear?

AP and Gore stuck around too long, shoulda done it like Barry and gone out on top.

Barry is the best to ever do it by far. No running back comes even close to barry sanders. Isn't even up for debate.

Public stunt. What ever. SF would have retired him anyways.
