Goldy, don't post bullshit anymore. Last time I'm going to help you:
*USA was in danger of finishing 5th, which would have wiped them out. Now, that's pretty unlikely.
CONCACAF has 3.5 qualifying spots, which is always generous b/c of the American/Mexican TV deals. IE, the soccer guys don't want USA/Mexico to miss out. If either do miss, they messed up badly.
Top 3 qualify. And the 4th spot goes to playoff. It's not a super-tough playoff, either. Will almost surely be New Zealand out of the Oceania region:

I BELIEVE the tie-breaker is Goal Differential. USA is a good bit ahead of Costa Rica.
Way I see it:
1) A win would virtually lock up Top3 for USA. CRica would have to win by huge margin to flip it.
2) Draw would leave USA vulnerable to the 4th place spot. Would eliminate Panama, tho.
3) Loss tonite would be incredibly bad. Unimaginable, really. Then, USA would have to go to Costa Rica needing a result.

My two cents. I WOULD NOT bet the Draw.
*Rationale: Panama needs to go gung-ho for Win here. If it's tied late, they might move Goalie up as extra attacker.

C Rica winning 2-1, as we speak. That's a pretty critical result, if it holds.
That would put C Rica even w/ USA on pts. A Draw tonite would be bad, would have USA facing prospect of 4th place if they lose at C Rica.
