“Get a better line live” Huh??

I love this thinking I’ve been hearing a lot lately and different shows

Say the Knicks or -3 pregame you wait until they’re +3 or whatever a better number that doesn’t make sense because they’re losing if you if you’re going to get a better number live what am I thinking here

What are the limits on live lines? Yes you can get a better line if a team goes down early but instead of betting 5K pregame you may be limited to 500 live.

I think he is saying if Knicks are -3 -110 pregame and you can get them at +1.5 -120 live in the 2nd quarter (hypothetical scenario) would you bet it?

There are a lot of variables you are not considering. Substitution patterns, in game injury, shooting %, fouls, refs (if you watch this for baseball/try it here).

And a lot more. Live in game will kill you unless you are really good at it.

Remember, once the game starts there is new information that we can incorporate into the pre game information to make the line.

Can't just rely on the new information, because often times in game action can just be noise, so there must be a balance.

After all, in many sports, all too often, it's the last 5 mintues or so that matter.

This is because it's not what they bring, it's how the bring and it is only after one can appreciate what they bring that one can truly appreciate how they bring it.

Track your bets and why you made them.

As pointed out, there are a lot of considerations going into live betting, but even taking those into account, the lines are so juicy I can't see many being able to make it a profitable endeavor.

If a -200 soccer or hockey favorite I really liked goes down 1-0 early I’ll always jump on the live line at even money or better
