Can we really manage to win or survive these ruthless Books of today? I say no!

Okay, it's an evolution at it worst when it comes to sports gambling in 2021.

Books are squeezing and squashing their players with high priced point buying. A real hazard for regular point buyers. Or, not even offering many times? Why not offer, you're holding a pair of aces before tip off, anyway?
Your winning % will definitely drop dramatically if you keep paying these prices.

    This auto rollover, now?
    Another way to control you.
Many Books practically forcing you to go with bitcoins, which may or not be a good thing for you, depending on where you stash your money.

Paying for CC deposits. Another choker for players.
And you'll be charged on the other end, very likely?

And having to use cell phones, to me, is a terrible idea.

This could be the end of pleasurable sports gambling, where it was more found much more frequently, 2 to 70 years ago?

You think I kidding? Nope, this truly may be the end of sports gambling for a high percentage of veteran players? Include me there, too.

Books are going to have "give us some better options!"
If no changes to the better for sports gamblers, even entertaining webs like SBR with have to say, "so long, nice knowing you guys?"

Abe, you are too nice of guy. You have to turn hard core / brutal / win at all costs kind of guy. Go see JJ's cousin / Dishonest John. He is ruthless! No more Mr Nice Guy / play with a win or go home attitude. You are not hunting deer for the entertainment / you are doing it because you are hungry and need to eat.

You have it correct. I haven't been known to turn the other cheek, though, but right now, yes, disgusted with losing too many close games.
However, I still have a few hot futures working.
I will have to start ripping these many sissies we have on SBR. Losing doesn't come free with me, and, most of them seem like useless posters anyway.

But my prediction above stays the same. Sharpies, if they lay back and wait for the right games, have a chance, but as long as these Books keep this large advantage they have today, they will continue to fatten up off guys who will bite on anything.
The soon to be broke ones.

Hmm, but don't you realize what going on? The Books now have you where they want you.
You better be good or have a ton of cash to possibly bail yourself out?
There will be some sad tales coming from overconfident sports bettors.
    Wait and see.

The answer to your question is yes, we can survive or win today.

The sportsbooks hang the numbers and we choose to bet them or not. That is how it has always been and how it always will be. Only bet the best and profitable numbers, and we continue to win, just as we always have.

You have options to avoid all the issues you seem to be having:
-If the price of buying (or selling) points isn't good enough, simply don't do it.
-Rollover only applies to bonuses, right? You could simply not accept any bonus.
-There are many books that have no problem using deposit and withdrawal methods other than bitcoins. Feel free to play at those places.
-There are many books that have deposit methods without any charges. Feel free to do that.
-Anything that can be done on a cellphone, can also be done on a tablet, even if you can't use a laptop or desktop computer. And there are plenty of sportsbooks that do allow betting from your computer

A major problem with these complaints is that it is so general, and they only apply to some markets and some jurisdictions. If there were specifics examples, it would not come across and clueless whining.

    Boy, what an opposite opinion.
I will look this over sometime soon, but you sound more like Book to me than a consistent bettor?
    We'll see?

Just this one more time: Books have grouped together with these new options, and in comparison to 3 years ago, they are tougher then hell now. Do you deny that?
    I'll be back.

For the past 12 years, I have bet in only one market, so I only know that one part very well and only a general idea about the rest of the landscape. In the NV market, I have seen things get better in the past three years. The competition from other states has made a lot more betting options and opportunities for me.

But that might just be because I found 2017-18 to be a relatively dead time. Go a couple years further back and correlated parlays, parlay cards, off market numbers, and some other things made other years better than it is now. (But all those things that made 2009-16 good for me, has absolutely nothing to do with buying points, bitcoin, cred it card, phone apps, or any of the stuff you talk about).

Again, feel free to share something specific about what has changed. Until you can do that it just comes across as ignorance and whining.

What are you, like 22, 23?

Couldn't live without it now, but I must say I'm glad there were no cell phones when I went to college.

Here's what I have noticed just 2 weeks ago.
I told CWD at the time, too.
These college basketball lines are sharp! I mean, not a crack to penetrate at times.
Maybe the Books have more modern computers spitting out these numbers to a more mathematical correction? Who knows?

Now I am talking about betting down to the 32 and 16 teams.
On top of these seemingly, concrete lines, if you dare try to buy a 1/2 to 1 and 1/2, you will pay through your nose. In other words, sharp lines like these are hardly worth those buying prices.
The first 1/2 point buy could cost you 20 cents or more. Or a quarter, if it's already priced at 15 cents on the side you favor, and we know the Books are pretty darn good guessers which side will be higher priced.
How about 90% right they way you favor, too?

Bettors were having more fun and winning more just a few years ago. But this evolution of rules, pricings, and darn tuff point-spreads, I say, are taking the fun out of the typical gambler?
I mean, we do like to win do we not?

Books are very very smart in this new decade since 2020.
They have sharpened all rules to make it harder to deposit, to stay away from fees, and those rollovers, boy? Who still takes rollovers and will keep doing it, along with other treacherous avenues the books have you marching along to? I say, the Books of today, are surely making more profit than ever before? If so, then it's coming off the bettor's hide.

I for one, am not yet finished playing but I have to get smarter and certainly more careful if what we have today, is the Books standard for tomorrow?
And there's a chance, I may move on to something more entertaining and less of these downright stressful situations, while looking at fun somewhere else, and maybe, and possibly more interesting challenges?

Yes, I am a born challenger but what I am seeing of today, is maybe, just to much of a challenge even for a natural combatant man like ABE?

Sounds like you agree that the answer is yes, we can manage to win and survive.

If you're regularly looking to purchase points, then you're already playing right into the books' hands.

Today's Books, yes sir, I agree. I picked many losers and lost so many by 1/2 points and a few by 1 point, so many it had my stomach tossing.
Sharp lines/not enough edges for the bettor. The combo.
Is this only a lesson I needed, or is this the true future of sports gambling?
    I'll know by next season.

it has already begun IMO... it's just that we don't hear about. And I agree about "overconfident" sports bettors. I used to be one (maybe im still one who knows)
