so yes bitcoin is still up since this thread was created, pretty nicely... shows how timing is everything, if you bought 11/3/2020 you're up 36%, if you bought a year later you're down 70%

If you bought BTC in 2017, you'd be up 1000% and 2000 to 2500% if you sold it a few months ago.

but yes... if you timed bitcoin right you could be super-rich... and if you bought in the past year and are still holding most cryptos, you're in the house of pain

haha ya thanks I corrected it.

I bought 5 bitcoins at just under 2000 in 2017 and then it went up to $20,000 and I held onto it. Then it fell and I was kicking myself. Turned out ok in the long run as I sold almost 4 of them last year. Still have 1.3 bitcoin left.
