I always bitch when the long term triggers get postponed. In a shortened season we need to get that bankroll churning.

why would they deal with delays and having players and workers all waiting around when there are no fans and its a short season, they will just play 2 tomorrow with no chance of rain

they wouldn't play unless the rain was guaranteed to pass quickly and be clear for the night

The sexy sport fan pictures always jinx me. Pitt lets Mil load the bases then hits a batter to put a run in.

    Unreal.

Only the Pirates (and maybe KC and Detroit) can gag on a four run ninth inning lead.

That was a fancy piece of relief pitching there by Michael Feliz.
Mikey faces five Brewer hitters, gives up a walk, two hits, and four earned runs.
The good news is Mikey got two of those five hitters out.

Oh boy you're going to make me work for this answer.
I'm going to have to go into my SQL bag of tricks for this.

Damn you KVB, now I's curious as to know just how rare that is.

OK, give me some time here, I'll come up with the answer.

Last season (2019) there were 135 hitters that qualified for batting championships.
Those 135 hitters had a combined 81,559 plate appearances.
Of those 81,559 PA's 877 of them resulted in a hit by pitch.
    877 goes into 81,559 92.997 times.

Rounding up you can expect one HBP for every 93 plate appearances on the average.
On the average you can expect to see about 76 plate appearances total per game (which is under 1 per game)

The hard part now is to find out out of those 877 hit by pitches how many of them occurred with the bases loaded.
    My guess is about 14.
