    I have been saying that California should have opened a while ago, but I actually agree with the current shut down. The main and only reason: in the last 2 weeks hospitals have reached max occupancy with COVID cases; without open beds, there is a higher risk of death. I know that all or almost all deaths have been of people 65 and older, or health issues, so some might argue than that they shouldn't have to shutdown and shelter in place; but the while the hospitals are full the spreading the virus needs to be slowed down. We can't stop the virus, because, well, it is a virus, but we can slow it down.

    Hospitals have not reached full capacity yet. They are saying that in Los Angeles where it's growing the fastest again, they could reach full occupancy of hospitality beds in 2 to 3 weeks. A lot of areas are at 60% occupancy. So the state is being proactive at the moment versus reactive

The State of California, with it's millions of illegal Hispanics and a State that ranks 49th in education, votes for all of the Liberals who encourage illegals to come to California but cannot seem to do anything right. The City of Los Angeles, with it's hundreds of Thousands of homeless living on the streets spreading disease decides that the best thing to do is to defund their Police Department. And people are surprised that the same idiots who elected their Governor are totally clueless? The total lack of intelligence that is seen on a daily basis in California is alarming. Stupidity is at an all time high. Their solution is "Lets get rid of the guy we voted in to begin with and vote in another Liberal idiot".
