Legal question regarding rioting?
If someone’s torching your car do you have the right to blow his head off if in your driveway?

JJ, I think it also varies by state. Some states (usually liberal ones) do not have a "Castle Law".
A castle doctrine, also known as a castle law or a defense of habitation law, is a legal doctrine that designates a person's abode or any legally occupied place (for example, a vehicle or home) as a place in which that person has protections and immunities permitting one, in certain circumstances, to use force (up to and including deadly force) to defend oneself against an intruder.
In Texas, this law is used and has allowed many home owners to "defend" their homes and vehicles.

Depends on the state with the car. The house, in general, yes if you're inside.
In general the main question is, do you reasonably fear for your life or great bodily harm?
I can't see a jury disagreeing with someone reasonably fearing for their life or safety if someone was about to torch their house while occupied.

No to both of your questions. You may use lethal force when confronted by a viable life threatening situation with regard to your house or car and other valuables.
You can never use lethal force when defending your property. House, car, ect.

If a mob of people run onto your lawn in the middle of the night with items that could be used to harm you or your family, can't you shoot them and just say that you felt that your life was threatened?

That is a great question.
If the mob presents a clear and present danger to your life or the lives of your family. Then you can use lethal force in defense of your home and personal being.
The legal precedent in this scenario is the "intent" of the mob. Did the mobs actions justify a life ending event.
