It actually is believable if the plays are on credit because I have know credit outfits to take 1 million dollar bets as long as the ML is very very large and the guy can prove in assets he has the money , I mean 2 Million might be far fetched but I can see Fishhead putting 1 million on a game in the Tampa area because he is very well respected and owns lots of property.
