My buddy has a good amount in mutual funds. He lost like 300 k+ since this shit started. The good thing though, as long as those companies are stable that shit wild go right back up. Probably not back to what is was pre-Corona but mutual fund investing is about the longterm

The margins are very thin for day trading. A minium of 25k is need to make your efforts worth your time.

    Learn how to analyze graphs.
    Trade Bitcoin.
It's easy. When it goes down, BUY it.
    When it goes up, SELL.

It's priced 7,300$ at the moment. I won't buy at this price right now. Will buy if it drops below 5-6k.

if graphs worked nobody would work

flipping coins also shows chart patterns and that is random

If you day trade you will lose everything in your account

90% of all mutual funds do not even outperform the s@p 500. Myself invest for different reasons then most i look for solid ets's that pay great dividends and have for long long time. Diversify as in utilities, consumer cyclical, tech, and the regular spy's. Really think the old buy and hold theory just isn't true these days, if you buy for long term but stock is stagnant as in down 2 years later time to rethink.

Can try doing short trading, swing trading. Most brokers only let you do 3-4 day trades a week if its a cash account. Webull or td america both good choices. Webull has the longest after hours and premarket trading that i know of. Robinhood not a lot of options. The way bitcoin is moving tho, im sure theres people pulling $ out of their stocks and throwing some in btc

good review but just use what you can afford to lose

If not buying and holding long term you will lose , lots of trades is just random as far as winning and losing like sports

I wouldn't say I day trade Rudy. I do swing trade several stocks on a weekly basis or every few weeks.

I also have a handful of stocks I buy and hold (and will continue to hold for several years).

Taxes aren't that big of a deal. My brokerage account just provides an easy end of the year form.

What are you thinking about buying on the stock side RudeDawg?

I day trade. Initially rolled 1 of my ira. Still have 2 plus a sep. started out with 30,000. It went down to 24,000 at peak of covid. Now at 40,500 plus I took 1000 to bet my derby. I am dumb ass.

when you look at a stock the more it is held by the big boys the better it is. Check out the short interest. The less it has the better you are. Don't buy an otc stock unless you plan to hold awhile. Bought fubo at 9. But they have since up lifted so now they are trading at 22. You can own the best company in a sector but if that one is underwater you can't make money. Set a price that you are willing to take a loss. This I shared with you is walgreens-boots-alliance. There was speculation that it was going private. I owned in the 70's but it fell to 59 I got out. I just bought for the dividend and still may lose money. If stock market is going bad put you money into p&g because when everything does bad they do good. But if everything is doing good than they trade sideways.
I know this doesn't figure into the picture of me that you have pigeon holed. But I had a series 6 and 7 so i know a little bit.
